Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Brown-gold Bitter. Nice, fruity hop, quite leafy and thick in’t mouth. Some pineapple and tropical fruit - makes me feel like visiting Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Reasonably good length and a nice dry feeling on the tongue. Good.

Cask (handpump) at the Duke of Cumberland Arms, Henley, West Sussex. Attractive, full amber colour. A good quaffer but doesn’t repay too much detailed analysis. Very hoppy in a mainly citric mode, but not very aromatic. Distinct "hop juice" character. Not much body. Refreshing, without too much depth of flavour. Nonetheless, it does the job intended pretty well. Just glug it down and enjoy.

Cask Conditioned @ ’The Freshie’ Formby. Mid brown beer with a large white head. Hops are balanced by a nice maltiness with a pleasantly bitter finish.

Tasted by half pint at the Junction Tavern (Tufnell Park, North London), during their three-day mini-beerfest. last week. Dispensed by gravity straight from the firkin.
Pours a very light amber hue, without beer head and coming very low-carbonated. Looking normal for a fresh, gravity-dispensed real ale.
Mild lemony-citrus and hay-ish amber malts, on top of flowery hints of Cascade hops... balanced-hoppy but not ve...ry aromatic.
On the palate, mildly spicy hint of Styrian Goldings balanced beautifully with lightly nutty maltiness; leading towards a zesty fruity bitter aftertaste and a superbly lingering grassy/floral and slightly tannic finish. Very light on the mouthfeel with fresh, microscopic fizz constantly at work... A very quaffable and (reasonably) flavoursome light bitter.
