Large 750 ml shared bottle.
A slightly funky tripel with enough barrel aging to have as much impact as the base beer. Lots of yeast and bourbon notes.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at GABF 2015, I believe this is the one I sampled. In the tasting glass was amber with a beige head. Nose of citrus and bourbon. Medium body. Flavor is dominated by the bourbon aging, but there is a lot of flavors hiding in there that makes this delicious. Need a bigger sample to figure all this out but overall this is a good beer and fun to drink.

750ml->Trappist. Cloudy dark copper with small offwhite head. A: vanilla, booze, oak, caramel, apple, fig. T: vanilla, coconut, booze, citrus, yeast. Some bright soapy and herbal notes really hurt the flavor here. Not a fan.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a medium, hazy amber, slight fizzy head. Aroma of caramel malts, vanilla, slight yeast spiciness, and a woodsy note. Flavor is a match. The barrel treatment is evident, and I feel like it muted a lot of the Belgian character, almost to the point of there being very little Belgian character. The malt profile was almost more English somehow. Not bad, but not what I had expected either.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle. Pours a darker orange golden color with an off white foamy head that leaves medium - heavy lacing. The smell is vanilla, coconut, oak, mango, and passion fruit. It’s a nice base tripel that’s peppery, malty, and hops. You get vanilla, oak, and bourbon booze from the barrels along with coconut, tropical fruit, pineapple, and resin. Creamy mouthfeel with little carbonation and a nice dry finish. Another excellent offering from LCCB.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
As bored and tired as I am of bourbon barrel beers, this one grew on me, with a bitterness to keep the molasses, smoke and booze of the barrels.
