Bottle (purchased at Lidl’s, Aussig an der Elbe): Golden, mid-sized, rather quickly diminishing white fluffy head; delicate buttery, but mainly grainy and grassy nose; faint bitter-sweet flavour, very light bodied; delicate, empty bitter-sweet finish. Not much "Bohemian" qualities detectable, tastes like a cheap german Pils...........

Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2011
Bottle: Small white head on top of a darker yellow to orange colored beer. Smell malts, herbs, grains, straw and light sweet. Like malted apple juice. Taste is a bit sweet from malts, with herbs. A light malty herby bitter aftertaste. Low carbo, low to slight medium body, soft mouthfeel and a watery texture.

500ml bottle, purchased at some Lidl in the Czech Republic, tasted in January 2010. Didn’t actually see any mention of Lidl on the label. Gold colour. Grainy and dull. Thin. More like a weak pale lager than a Bohemian Pilsner. Drinkable but nothing to get too excited about.

Bottle brown, 500 ml, 9 P, got it in Trinec, Czech Republic.
Appearance: Pours perfectly clear and fat golden, lively carbonated body, beer is well saturated and creating a huge white head, slowly decreasing to mederate, frothy in texture and leaving some lacing. Head is firm and long lasting.
Aroma: Very nice and srong aroma of Zatec hops from the very beginning, highly aromatic and leavy, slightly herbal, notes of whipped cream, graphite, pure barley grains, slightly chalky, all in all a classic Bohemian Pilsener in its aroma profile.
Flavour: Front is quite bitter and dry but somehow lacking malty base and its sweetness, very nice herbal-hoppy profile, notes of leaves and herbs, thin barley grains at tha background, very clean and soft in overall impression revealing soft water used as the base, very easy going, good to dine with. Finish duration is short and clean.
Palate: Body is light, texture is watery to dry, carbonation on palate is quite lively, finish feel is light, soft, quite astringent, slightly dusty, really impressive Bohemian Pilsener as for only 9 P, refreshing and easy going.

bottle from Lidl Pisek. Clear golden yellow, mid-sized head. Aroma of malt and vegetables. Light-bodied, slightly malty with some very shy hoppy flavours. Hints of vegetables, slightly fruity. Platan can do much better.

Quite tasty. Bought at Lidl in Prague. It is their cheap 9 degree beer. good for drinking in the summer or when you don’t want to much alcohol. Still a good light Pilsner flavor with just a hint of unpleasantness at the very end if you really try to find it but most likely you are already on your next sip.
