Deep red with yellowish head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, faint floral hops, some sulphur. Taste toffee, malty, nutty, some herbal hops. Light body, aking to watery. Light spicy bitterness and light caramel sweetness in the aftertaste, Slight drying astringency. Very quaffable mainstream beer, tasting simple but balanced. Nice drop!

500ml bottle from supermarket in Torfyanovka, Russia. Dark reddish brown colour, large mostly lasting frothy beige head, fair lacing. Heavily malty aroma of dark bread, toast, caramel and nuts with light floral hops. Taste is intially moderately sweet with a bit of acidity turning into a moderately sweet finish with a hint of bitterness and a slightly acetic feel. Medium to full body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Quite pleasant as it is, certainly the best I’ve tasted from any branch of Olvi, if the were a bit more ambitious in the hopping it would’ve one of the best beers I ever bought in Russia. Certainly in the top quarter.

Bottle shared at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Erzengel for this bottle! Clear deep amber-brown with a beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark bread, light toast and a faint smoky hint. Sweet flavor, caramelly, bready, with a toasty hint and a slightly drier finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Thanks to erzengel for the bottle. Pours a very dark brown with orange highlights and a loose tan head. The smell is dark malt, fruit, bread. The taste is dark fruit, roasted malt, dark bread and mild licorice ending dry. Light in body with a looser carbonation structure.

500ml bottle courtesy of Erzengel. Thanks Gabriel. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head that has fair retention. The aroma is sweet roasted grains and brown sugar. The taste mirrors the aroma with more brown sugar and sweet malts. The palate is a bit on the thin side and the carbonation is weak. Finishes short and unmemorable. Overall: Great for the very rare Belarus tick, otherwise not so great.

Erzengel (2327) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2013
Beer starts malty-sweetish, not too bad. The mainpart is fullbodied, malty with nice sweet notes. A subtle hop-bitterness appears and harmonises nicely with the malty-sweet body. The aftertaste is medium to long, not too sweet but malty-bitter in a great balance.

Palate - medium bodied, sweetish aftertaste, minimal dry finish, soft, a bit creamy texture. In conclusion - weak dunkel, more some malt-raisins mead.
