UPDATED: AUG 17, 2009 Draft @ Lieberth-keller, Kreutzberg. In krug, is dark golden with nice scant lacing. Smells like the depths of the earth with lava, stone, minerals, muchrooms and wood as well. The palate is perfectly minerally. Who says you can’t squeeze beer from a rock?

Hopfig-herber Antrunk, sehr süffig. Andere Aromen sind rar, dafür passen sich die vorhandenen gut an. Im Verlauf süffiger werdend, der Hopfen gewinnt an Stärke. Wenig süß, knackig bitter. Nett! 8/10/11/11//11

Vom holz @ Kreuzberg. Ceramic mug. The aroma is a wood bomb. Dirty blonde. Herbal, wood and minerally character. Great balance and deliciousness. Very toasty, minerally beer with a lot of wood character.

Draugt at Lieberth-Keller, Kreuzberg. Probably deep golden, rich head. Cellary aroma with a touch of fruiy. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Lightly grassy and caramelly. A very well balanced, unassuming but very drinker friendly beer.

Impressions in the shade of the keller:
-There is barely any head atop the muddled amber/brown.
-Aroma is strongly earthy, a quilt built of dirty fruit.
-Quite light-bodied, seguing into a severely yeasty finish, slightly hoppy and wet.
-Mild herbal, tea-like hoppiness attempts to keep things interesting.
-The very low carbonation makes the watery passages more obvious.
