COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Pours a beautiful, warm, dark amber with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and maple syrup. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel. Lightly roasted malt accents and a dry finish without any greater bitterness. Perfectly balanced. 050807

Bottle, 5.8%. Clear brown colour. The flavour is bready with a rough bitterness. Not sweet. The hop flavour reminds me of Alkoholfrei, only less revolting.

Düsseldorf gathering. Amber color, large light brown head, dissappeared quickly, Sweet, lots of caramel, not much on flavor, eh.

Bottle at the Düsseldorf Gathering. Clear, amber body. Rocky, lightly brown head. Aroma of butter, caramel. Lightly bitter flavour. Quite uninteresting.

Düsseldorf Gathering, Bottled. Loads of caramel in the aroma. Amber color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, caramel, sticky. Boring, just sweet.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Amber coloured, smaller fluffy off-white head; delicate nose: caramelly with a touch of toasted malt and an uncertain fruitiness; rather light bodied, light - as well - sweetish-bitter flavour; a metallic tinge in the faint malty-bitter finish. A thinnish, boring brew........

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 11/20
MoritzF (7402) - Bochum, GERMANY - DEC 7, 2006
(swing top bottle) Clear, copper colour with a medium-sized light-beige foamy head, leaving some lace. Sweet malty, toasty aroma with chocolate/cacao powder and very faint hoppy notes. Moderately sweet flavour, quite slim bodied with a smooth carbonation. Soft malty taste with chocolate notes; slim and slightly sweet malty finish, again with a touch of milk-chocolate in the aftertaste. Not bad, but unfortunately very slim, if not watery. Definitely not a winter warmer.
