This looked fantastic for a few moments - but then the big fluffy head pretty much vanished into thin air. Very aromatic brew with notes of yeast, honey and oranges - doesn’t quite have the same punch flavourwise and has a disturbingly sweet aftertaste, that I still haven’t decided if I liked or not.

from belgianshop.com - clear and bright golden colour, little white foam; estery and yeasty, fruity notes (orange peel and grapefruit), medium-bodied; some tartness due to a solid effervescence; moderately dry and decently bitter finish, long grapefruity aftertaste - easy but good

(Rating #1016)

Bottle. Clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Fruity and sweet nose with some malt as well. Quite wheaty flavor, sweet and fruity with tropical fruits in the background. Medium body. Fruity finish with some spice-notes. A quite nice beer, nothing special to it though. (070427)

Clear yellow gold with white bubbly foam. Citrus, yeast, spice & malts. Sweet honey taste with wheat & coriander. Little sticky sweet. Fine lasting end!

Glouglouburp (5613) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 3, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 4, 2007 Clear light golden body with a small white head. Too sweet for its own good. The cloying sweetness appears to originate from candied sugar and honey. Basic spices flavour (cinnamon, ginger), some garden flowers and a citric note try to expand the flavour spectrum but it’s useless, the sweet candy sugar wall is impenetrable. Alcohol apparent even at only 6.5%. Medium syrupy/oily body with a carbonation that is softer than the average Belgian. Sugary finish. Abdisater Blond.

rederic (2564) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 19, 2007
Honey gold color, with a white head, leaving laces, the nose is one of yeastiness, bready dough, with a subtle sulfuric smokiness, with a sweet grainy pale malt, with an apple fruit accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity character, with an honeyish accent, a faint spicy cinnamon note, with some stewed appled fruitiness, sweet pale malt, leading towards a sweet toasted malt, and a lingering hop bitterness finish.

Stefano (1800) - Esbjerg, DENMARK - APR 13, 2007
UPDATED: APR 14, 2007 Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Aroma of fruits and spices. Flavor with notes of lemon and honey. Too sweet and sugary for a belgium beer.
