375 ml bottle. Pours a clear, ruby reddish brown with a resilient purplish-beige head. Aroma is woody and fruity. Flavor is extremely fruity (cherry, strawberry, ripe raspberry), wild berries. Tart and fruit juice finish, lingering sugar and cherry flavors. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Easy drinking, soft, fruity, very refreshing!

On Draft at pizza plant. Pours a really dark red brown with an off white head that laces a bit. Smells sweet and tart with cherries and straw. Taste is sweet like a cherry candy, with mild tartness.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 kraddel (917) - deurne, BELGIUM - MAY 24, 2013
NO idea what it was, yet i’ve seen it so many times. have been told it was a chery, between sour sweet. onley after buying it, i did read the label. it should be a mixed-aged beer ( in the style of flemish old brown) with cherries added in the fresh beer ( that has than aged, and been mixed in witht he young beer with xcherries, something like that ) . so basicly, what i think right now, is that its their goudenband , with cheries, and sugar. wish sounds great, cause goudenband is good ( i had it a few days before this ) but not too complex. so this extra cherries thing, should give this a NICE extra ..
pours dark dark red. foam is some redish-white colour ( yet its not pink ) .itsd rather small and fades to a layer .
smell is natural cherries. and actualy pretty good. no overpowering sweetness, also i dont get sourness. yet its not chemicaly overpowering as well .
hmm.. enters very sweet, but has some complexity over it, comming from that FOB-style of beer i guess. cherries dominate the taste ( a bit to much, maybe, but still very nice) aftertaste is just amazing. the real FOB-style, with the sweetness of cherries.
carbonation is realy good, not to much at all ! realy drinkable .
label reads it has sugar in it . the sweeter taste of cherries can definetly proof that, yet its nothing like a lindemans ( luckely !) . i do tend to miss some sourness, but overall, this is a very drinkable beer, and very nice to know : its very gettable and good-priced ;)
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 gEUS (594) - Linden, BELGIUM - MAY 20, 2013
This rating is for the a mid 90s version, when all was well (aka not taken over by Duvel Moortgat). Bottel at Chez Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles, given by Jean from a stash of old bottles - thanks! This stash was a 12 bottle box that actually was stored on its side and about 1/3 to 2/3 of the bottle was gone. The muzelet was almost totally eaten by the rust but the cork was totally intact. For the sake of the tasting exercise, we opened it. To our surprise, there was still even carbonation escaping (even with the little pop while uncorcking) - lovely! Aroma was incredibly fruity for its age - cherries and strawberries and a hint of madeira. Taste was like a fruity soft drink, nice sour and a bit sweet, but still a fruit explosion! An almost perfect beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Frothmeister (393) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2013
750ml bottle. I’m a sucker for Belgian fruit beers, and well, this is the best I have had. I will preface this review with, "I love it!" Pours a hazy garnet colour with a short lived rosy beige head. The nose is cherry pie filling, a light floral note, faint earthiness, and tart candies. The taste is full on "Cherry Blasters" candy. Seriously. Tartness, sweetness, sour cherry with a little citrus in the finish. This is a well balanced dessert beer, and I love it. I love it so much. Jesus this is good!
