COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Very dark red color, big tan head that left some lacing. Aroma of sour cherries, malt, red wine. Taste of cherries, malt, champagne. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very tasty, awesomely balanced... very good stuff.

Bottle 0,375l from Beer Club Shop in Rijeka, Cro. Hazy amber red color, big pale pink foam. Medium body and carbonation. Smell of wine, wood and cherries. Taste is like white wine with fruits, cherries, acidic and semi-sweet. Nice one.

Bottle at home. Dark ruby with light pink head. Sweet ripe cherries balanced with some unripe sour ones, black currant, black berries, cherry flavored hard candy. Sweet/sour blend, sweet is stronger but the balance is really good. Wonderful smooth mouthfeel, really creamy and well carbonated. Underlaying minerallike chalky (gueuze like) texture. Best predominantly sweet kriek I recall.

Draft at Tuscarora mill. Pours ruby red with an inch of foam. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Massive cherry notes on the nose. Nice tartness on the tongue which really unlocks the cherry flavor. Finished clean. Lovely example of style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Robe brune reflets rouges. Nez qui explose sur la cerise puis des notes épicées et boisées. Bouche à l’attaque acidulée, de la fraîcheur et de la rondeur et une finale ronde et équilibrée, belle longueur. Une belle bière onctueuse et fraîche à la fois

Sweet, tart, glacé cherry aroma with a clean acidity and an extremely subtle light grain note.

Beautiful deep ruby red with a pink-hue head with extremely good lacing and persistence at the right level.

The flavour is bold with cherries and sweet but balanced by the refreshing acidity. There are subtle grain notes and a deeper complexity to the beer with gentle woody and light almond flavours.

Perfect level of carbonation, fairly high and fine with a substantial substance without detracting from the beer’s refreshingness.

One of my favourite fruit beers. So refreshing whether cold or not so cold and excitingly complex and yet not at all heavy or too much. Fantastic.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2016 Pours dark copper, clear, with unstable pinky foamy head. Visually medium carbonation. Aroma: cheery syrup, tart cherries, hint of grape, wood, vanilla. Flavor: intense fruity, with notes of cheery syrup, cherries, invert sugar, grape, hint of vanilla...palate: firstly fruity sweet, slughtly sugary, then steps forward gentle tartnes, which lingers in dry finish. Body is moderate medium, texture is soft, carbonation is medium.
