COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Leggero legnoso e acidulo. Il tutto è veramente molto gradevole, equilibrato e rinfrescante. Corpo leggero, carbonizzazione alta. CONCLUSIONE: una birra veramente delicata e saporita allo stesso tempo. L’ideale come aperitivo prima del pasto. Molto consigliata.

75 cl.

Bottle at home. As Kriek Brut. Has a clear deep red color with a big light pink head. Sweet aroma of sweet cherries, candy, raspberries and some earth. Very berry. The flavor is even more sweet with lots of cherry candy and raspberries and some dried hay. Has a sticky and soft mouth feel, medium body, and a light berry bitterness. A quite sweet and one-dimensional ale. Is anyway a tasteful beer and it’s all about the cherries.

750ml->tulip. Deep red with moderate grey head. A: funky cherry, yeast, wood. T: very tart cherries over some sweetness and oak. Good.

Nice sour kriek aroma. Not too sweet a flavour, not too sour either. Nice and balanced.

Sample @ Hamirubi’s place. Hazy red beer, white head. Mild cherry aroma, some grassy hints. Taste is not overly sweet.

One of the more richer krieks I have had with good mouth weight and feel. Not overly sweet (for a kriek)

75cl bottle from Brüssel Airport. Pours clear deep red with a pink head. Fruity aroma with lots of cherry, hints of almond and malt and some wooden notes. Sweet and fruity with strong cherry flavour and a moderate acidity. Tasty and refreshing kriek. Quite balanced, but a bit on the sweet side.

Brought this 750 ml bottle to our monthly bottle share. Sweet cherry notes on the aroma. Hints of tartness that barely made it into the flavor. The red pour was rather nice. Flavor was more sweet than sour. Kinda along the lines of Duchess...
