Pours a deep reddish with a light white head that dissipates quickly. Smells like tart cherries. Tastes tart, with a strong fruity flavor dominating. Smooth as can be with very little carbonation. Overall an amazing beer, perfect for its style.

Bottle 0.375 at home. Colour is reddish brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours are berries, cherries, sweetness and sourness.

375ml bottle, poured in tulip. Pours ruby, medium head, yet quite thick. Aroma in prominently cherry, with a hint of acetic. Taste is very sweet, I expected much more sourness but was disappointed. Light carbonation, pleasant mouthfeel.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2013 Brown with red shine, and creamy red head. Smells cherries and wood, with vinous notes. Taste cherry and wood. Little acidity....a nice refreshing beer.

[Bottle on Beer Academy course] Ruby with a white head with a hint of pink. Cherry obvious from the off, although fortunately it’s not too sickly and there’s little almond with it (I’ve never liked almond!). There’s some cough mixture, a little woodiness woodiness, some blackcurrant and some sourness. However, the sourness is not enough to balance the upfront sweetness. A little too swet for me.I’m afraid.

The taste is also much better than I expected. Dryer. More complex. Still dominated by the cherries, but mixing more aggressively than the nose. Wood? Yeah, we’ve got that. Tart? Heck yeah. Vinegar? Slight enough to be interesting, yet not effect the drinkability. This stuff just flows down my throat. I could drink half a gallon of this stuff. It’s very well done and ever so drinkable.

Kaatuu lasiin rubiininpunaisena ja niukalla vaahdolla. Haju on happaman kirsikkainen ja melko kuiva. Hieman hedelmääkin on joukossa. Maku on kirsikkainen ja melko hapan sekä todella makea ja sokerinen. Suutuntuma on keskitäyteläinen. Kokonaisuutena pelottavan helposti juotava olut, joka on hyvin epäolutmainen.

Bottle at the Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green - 05/01/13. Pours a hazed russet brown/red with an off white head that clears to the edge. Nose is tarte cherries, sugars and a little burnt note to it. Taste comprises tarte/sour cherries, a little wood, sugars, burnt notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, fruity finish. Too sweet and sugary for me, not enough tarte and sour.

75 cL 2011 Bottle. Pours a dark burgundy color with w finger of fine off-white, pinkish head. Settles to cap quickly with a little lacing. Aroma is tart, cherry, stone fruit, red grape, mildly vinous. Flavor is mildly tart up front, building slightly, with strong cherry tone throughout. Moderate carbonation, light body, and a relatively clean finish. A nice and tasty beer, but very one dimensional as expected. Furthermore, I really wish I could get a fresher bottle of Liefman’s out here. This is an enjoyable, very cherry beer.

Slightly hazy burgundy with a foamy head. A strong aroma of cherries and some dark sugar. Taste of bitter cherries, sour cherries, and a bit of raspberry syrup. Dry and fruity finish.
