COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale brewed with cherries with natural flavor added. Contains barley malt. Wrap label: "Liefmans Cuvée - Brut is brewed only once a year, in July. After brewing freshly harvested and carefully selected cherries are blended in and the beer is cellared at the brewery. After a slow maturation of 18 months to 3 years different vintages are carefully tasted and blended to create the final result: a complex deep-red ale with refreshing balanced tart-sweet taste, strong cherry notes and sparkling carbonation."

375 mL bottle. Pours deep garnet with a persistent pale pink head. Big, tart sour cherry nose, pleasantly (and surprisingly) non-medicinal. Oaky, vinous quality with a touch of vanilla and brown sugar. Slightly sweet but balanced by good acidity; could afford to be a touch drier. Some barnyard brett notes in here as it warms. Moderate in body and high carbonation. Liked this more than I thought I would.
