(330ml Corked and caped) I was looking for sour and got muted ,pedestrian sour , though not exactly a chick beer -there is some earthy bloody cheery notes as a redemption . Like a diluted Rodenbach without the charisma and complexity .

Strong combination of cherry and light malt that carries this well into the finish, whenh a light sour bittering evens things out. Similar to offerings by Boon (lambics, gueuze, etc). A decent brew.

375 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours dark brownish red with a small pinkish white head that quickly dissipates while leaving no trace. Smell is sweet and sour with cherries, raspberries, vinegar, viola pastilles, burnt sugar and wood. Taste is sour and slightly sweet with cherries, wood, minerals, raspberries, wild strawberries, burnt sugar and hints of barnyard and hay. Mouthfeel is dry and medium bodied. Finish is dry and rather tart with an artificial cherry flavour.

My first one of these. It’s cloudy and reddish/Brown. Small almost white head. Smells fruity. Taste is a nice sour twang. This is a nice dessert beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

EXCELLENT! Beautiful garnet color with a small head. Initial strong sour taste with a note of sweetness in the middle and a effervescent finish. Very refreshing. BUY AGIN! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: deep cherry wood and mahogany under a cherry hued layer of foam – like the inner side of black cherry skin. Cranberry glints along the sides when held up to the light. Head lingers as a solid layer with lace inching its way up the sides of my glass.
Nose: rich moist fleshy cherries without the pits. Rhubarb and cranberry – raw and untamed. Gentle sweetness of angel food cake and white caked soaked in juices of all the above. Old wood saturated and stained in rich red wines. Toast underneath and in the back which is held together by Kriek cherries.
Palate: full creamy mouthfeel of angel food cake and white cake. Sweetness up front quickly leads into tartness – tartness, nuts, and leather in the back for a parching thirst-inducing quaff. Creamy and mouth-coating. Raw cranberries tease and delight at the back of each quaff. Angel food cake soaked in Kriek and cranberry juices delights front and center. Wood and wine soaked leather along the sides. Comes very close to being overly cloying without actually crossing that line.
Final Thoughts: I went into this beer not sure what to expect and suffice to say I was very pleased. Initially I feared an overwhelming presence of saccharine Kriek sweetness instead of more of the natural sweetness and sourness the Kriek adds without the help from sugary syrupy additions to the brew. An easy recommendation for a lover of this style of beer and for anyone looking for a beer outside the norm to dazzle and intrigue their beer-scoffing friends.

aroma and flavour of vinegar and ripe sweet cherries. flavour was too tart for me, but the missus loves it. i thought it a bit thin in the mouth as well. looks inviting with deep cheery red and minimal head.

Bottle 375ml. Pours ruby red, slightly brownish with a medium, slightly pinkish head. Aroma is sour, slightly vinegary, cherry, red berries, lingonberry. Taste is pretty sour, somewhat sweet, slightly vinegary again, cherry showing strongly with red berries, slight maltiness. Some acidity. Aftertaste is sour, red berries and cherries. Palate somewhat full, fairly carbonated. Good, but not up to proper sour or kriek standards.

Small airy head, quickly diminishing. Cherry aroma popped right out of the bottle. Dark cherry colour, hazy. Aroma of wild yeasts, strong but perfectly intertwined cherries. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter, medium to heavy acidic. Pleasant light acidic finish. Cherries all the way through. Some may be annoyed by the strong and ever present cherry flavour, but that is ok with me.

On draft at the Livermore Saloon. It pours a cloudy pinkish/red with a pink head. The aroma is strong with sweet cherry juice. The flavor is mostly marachino cherry, but not overwhelmingly cloying. It finishes nice with some lingering bready malt. Some light tartness on the back end. Medium bodied and sweet.
