Bottle 0.33l from Dranken Geers Gent. Pours deep brown red with almost no head. Aroma is cherry. Taste is a good balanced of sweet and sour cherries. I would have preferred a bit more tartness though. Overall good stuff but a touch too artificial.

Lovely presentation. When it’s poured in the glass a red dark beer appears, with a small and persistent pale pink foam head. The aroma it’s highly artificial, being that something disappointing. Despite of that the taste is quite good with a nice sour end.

3/02/2011: Liefman’s Cuvee Brut... Aroma: Pronounced cherry
and artificial cherry candy. Appearance: Deep red color; off-white
crown with a pink-ish hue. Flavor: Lots of deep cherry and caramel
with just a hint of cardboard and a slight sourness. Palate: Medium
body; calm, smooth body. Overall: Really nice beer; I like the
cherry characteristics without being overwhelming; I think that my
wife might actually like this beer too!
Sample from 75 cl bottle at Marty’s Hops & Vines in Cincinnati,
Ohio. Rating #991 for this beer.

375 ml corked and caged bottle, wrapped in paper. Poured into a tulip at home. ABV 6%
Pours a very dark red ruby colour, with a bit more than one finger of off-white head, with good retention, leaving light lacing as I drink the beer.
Aroma of cherries, smells a bit sour, some candy sugar as well.
Very nice taste, sweet and sour at the same time, with lots of cherries in there. Aftertaste is also slighty sour.
Thin body with soft carbonation. Slighty tart palate.
Overall very good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy mahogany/redish/brown with low off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of cherries, sugar, sligth funk. Taste is of sweetness, cherries. Palate: Ligth-medium body. Sticky texture. Overall: Easily drinkable (sugar not cloying). Enjoyable. Still very sweet, like Mort Subite stuff. Lots of cherries. Nothing too complex here, but good cherry action.

Sweet and tart alchol, heavy on the cherries. Poured darker than I had expected. Heavier on the booze than Lindemans lambics and not very carbonated. I really enjoyed it. A quality lambic.

Bottle at Cornelis, Grythyttan. Dark red beer with a tanned small head. Cherry and sourish red fruits aroma. Lovely cherry flavour, not too sweet with some red berry notes. Lovley fruitbeer :-)
