Ale brewed with cherries with natural flavor added. Contains barley malt. Wrap label: "Liefmans Cuvée - Brut is brewed only once a year, in July. After brewing freshly harvested and carefully selected cherries are blended in and the beer is cellared at the brewery. After a slow maturation of 18 months to 3 years different vintages are carefully tasted and blended to create the final result: a complex deep-red ale with refreshing balanced tart-sweet taste, strong cherry notes and sparkling carbonation."

Nice cherry sweet aroma. Deep orange red color. Fresh sweet fruit up front. Cicely balanced with dry sourness that is very palatable. Dry tart finish that is refreshing.

On draught at t’ Zand hotel in Brugge. Dark red, clear, with a pink bubbly head. Sweet a bit liquory, light cherry flavour, and has a bit of body to it. The aroma is lightly of cherries. This was pretty pleasant, and had a bit more about it than your usual kriek.

On tap at Fireworks. Pours a clear dark ruby red that was headless by the time it arrived. Aroma is cherries upfront, with notes of other dark fruits. Flavor is dark cherries, cherry juice, and other sweet complex notes. Sourness is overall muted, this is mainly a fruit beer. Medium bodied, sweet dry finish. Delicious.

Pours a deep ruby with an enthusiastic three finger light mauve head diminishing gradually to a half finger cap and moderate sticky lacing. Nose is cherry and malt vinegar with woody and slight funky notes. Taste is well-balanced medium sweet and sour, with little bitterness. Medium body, medium to low carbonation, with a lingering dry finish. Lots of cherry without being overwhelming, and no cough syrup character. Just enough sweetness to temper the moderate sourness makes this a very pleasant and approachable sour. In fact, I think this is the beer that led me down the path to the true sours. Very good, but a little too middle of the road to be ranked as great.

Bottle @ White Horse, Parsons Green. Pours deep red, sweet cherry boiled sweets with a sour aftertaste. Tart & sweet, with an artificial cherry flavour. Not my favourite Kriek i have to say.
