This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Bottle. Pinkish airy head but dissipates pretty quickly - pretty while it lasts though. Pours reddish-magenta-amber. Nose is baking spices, candied ginger. Palate is light, tart, and cherries. Crisp, clean, tart finish. The nose was much sweeter than the actual palate on this one, I thought I would hate it but its actually refreshing, complex and interesting.

Deep ruby body, small pinkish foam. Aroma of cherry, oak, light yeasty notes. Flavours of sourish cherry, sweet, oak, vinous, a bit yeasty. Medium sourish cherry finish. Medium body and medium-high carbo. Very nice fruit beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red color with foam layer. Nice cherry smell. The smell is light sour and has a solid cherry note. This beer is just delightful. Dry fruity aftertaste.

Piana jasno różowa, drobna i sycząca, błyskawicznie opada do firanki. Barwa ciemno czerwona, raczej klarowna. Aromat kwaśny, wyraźnie wiśniowy z nutą dębowej beczki. W smaku pół kwaśne, pół słodkie, znów wiśnie na pierwszym planie, choć przypomina to blend kompotu wiśniowego z domowym winem z wiśni. Goryczka niska, pestkowa. Nagazowanie średnie do wysokiego, drobne, musujące na języku.

Leggero legnoso e acidulo. Il tutto è veramente molto gradevole, equilibrato e rinfrescante. Corpo leggero, carbonizzazione alta. CONCLUSIONE: una birra veramente delicata e saporita allo stesso tempo. L’ideale come aperitivo prima del pasto. Molto consigliata.

75 cl.

Bottle at home. As Kriek Brut. Has a clear deep red color with a big light pink head. Sweet aroma of sweet cherries, candy, raspberries and some earth. Very berry. The flavor is even more sweet with lots of cherry candy and raspberries and some dried hay. Has a sticky and soft mouth feel, medium body, and a light berry bitterness. A quite sweet and one-dimensional ale. Is anyway a tasteful beer and it’s all about the cherries.
