COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Bottle. Pinkish airy head but dissipates pretty quickly - pretty while it lasts though. Pours reddish-magenta-amber. Nose is baking spices, candied ginger. Palate is light, tart, and cherries. Crisp, clean, tart finish. The nose was much sweeter than the actual palate on this one, I thought I would hate it but its actually refreshing, complex and interesting.

0,33l fles bij wapen van Wogmeer redelijk kersen maar wel op de zoete manier, zonder dat het echt tegen gaat staan. Redelijk te drinken

75 Cl bottle bought in Brussels on the way home from Marseille. A fully invoiceable beer. Pours deep Ruby Red with a Pinkish White head. Plenty of tart cherry sweetness on the aroma. Lovely tart cherry flavour. Plenty acidic. Light on the finish. It’s delicious.

Bottle. Nose is tart, cherry, back of the cupboard must, slight cheese. Taste is cherry, cherry syrup, vanilla, sugar, sweet almonds, bread, raspberry, wood, marzipan, very little sour or depth. It’s been years since I’ve troubled myself with a Liefmans as I’ve found them little better than alcopops in the main. This was as I remembered, sweet and shallow; I’m baffled by the warm reviews this has received from some on here.

Strong sweet cherries & cranberries aroma with hay and barnyard undertones. Deep ruby colour with small beige head. Sweet cherries in first place on than tartness and wood notes appear, bit of vanilla, ends up with cloying sweetness and cherry finish. Mouthfeel tart at first, ends up overly sweet. Overally - dissapointment, smells nice- easy on the wild side (but big cherry on the nose), taste is not complex (so far im ok), but cloying sweetness kills all the pleasure that could come from this beer, sadly

Bottle at home. Aroma of candied cherries and a bit of oak. Light bodied. Light vinegar taste, but way less than Duchesse, lots of raspberry, big fruit roll-up aftertaste, a bit cloying as well. Good, enjoyable, but not great.

Ró?owa piana, niezbyt wysoka, ?rednio trwa?a, która nieznacznie zdobi szk?o Aromat intensywnie wi?niowy, delikatnie waniliowy, z nieco winnym, wytrawnym akcentem. 330ml bottle from M&S. Small pink head, nice lacing. Clear dark reddish brown body. Nose is sour cherries, acidic notes. Flavour is more sour cherry, bready yeast, really sweet through the middle before a tart finish. Light carbonation, soft creamy mouthfeel. Really good.
