Bottle. Ruby color with a medium reddish-hued foamy head with medium duration. Aroma is sour and cherry. Flavor is cherry, sour.

The aroma is dominated by cherries with a little sharpness and good portion of sweetness. The color is deep red but it has no head. The flavor is rather sweet with a strong cherry presence and a slight sourness. It ends on a dry cherry note. A good beer - but not the best Kriek I've had.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2006 (Bottle 37,5 cl) 1992 vintage at 6,5 % ABV. Dark reddish brown, pinkish head. Sweet and sour, but more the latter and a rather unusual hoppiness. Brewed with whole cherries and not just extract. Loads of sediment - cherry pits...? 040993

25 cL bottle. Pours dark brown and with a reddish hue, completely diminished off-white head. Sulphorish dry aroma of cherries and with a solid caramel note too. Flavour starts acidic and leads into a sweet caramel malt heavy flavour. Ends sweet and acidic at once. Nice.

Bottled. Pitch rubyred and darkmurkish brown colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is cherries and dark fruits. Flavour is cherry, some alcohol and dry fruits. Also some sourness in it, but the cherry is sweet enough to not make it too sour. Long sweetish aftertaste after a rather dry and sour feeling. Excellently balanced brew. Palate is slightly sticky, but still "a bit watery".

Clear red. Balsamic nose withloads of cherries. Malty and sweet. A refreshing fruit ale.

Bottled. Clear red coloured with a medium sized lasting head. Sweet aroma of cherries with notes of marzipan. Sweet flavour of wood, cherries and marzpan. Dry and sweet finish.

Bottle, 6%. Sweet, pruney aroma, a little acidic. Hazy dark red, pruney colour. Very small head. The flavour is quite sweet, some fat cherry. Also quite acidic, but not really enough to balance the berries. Rather pleasant, but has some tendency towards soft drink flavour.

Cloudy dark amber color with red hue; small creamy head. Light cherry aroma, mature. Good body, some malt and sweetness, with a good fruity level. A touch of acidity. Balanced.

Dark red with tiny head. Aroma is mostly sweet dominated by cherries and light sour barnyard notes. Sweet flavor with cherries. A little on the sweet side...
