3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A: The pour is a cloudy dark ruby color with a slight cloud and a very mild off-white foam.
S: A definite aroma of cherries, primarily sweet fruit flesh. I might pick up just a touch of vinegar in there.
T: This one has quite a nice balance of sweet and sourness. The cherry flavor is fairly sweet, but a nice acetic tinge of sourness and perhaps even a bit of tannic feel on the finish.
M: The body is medium with a low, smooth carbonation that actually tingles the tongue a bit.
D: A really easy drinking kriek. Not overly tart, but still a nice balance and not medicinal or overwhelming sweetness.

Bottle, c&c, from Sun Devil in Mesa, AZ. Reddish/garnet color with a slight, lightly pinkish head. Aroma of tart cherry. Medium body with sharp carbonation. Flavor is very tart cherry. Not exactly sour, but certainly tending that way. Makes me wish I were in Belgium.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at the Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green - 05/01/13.
Pours a hazed russet brown/red with an off white head that clears to the edge.
Nose is tarte cherries, sugars and a little burnt note to it.
Taste comprises tarte/sour cherries, a little wood, sugars, burnt notes.
Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, fruity finish.
Too sweet and sugary for me, not enough tarte and sour.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(375ml bottle, vintage 2004, best by 9/14, 5% ABV) Large beige head with pink notes, atop a clear red body. Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry, light barnyard, oak. Taste is moderately sweet, cherry, light tartness/sourness, faint oak. Low carbonation, slightly sticky light-medium body, quite drinkable. Needs a bit more tartness and carbonation, but it does pretty well despite these quibbles.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, bought @ Kolding Vinhandel.
Pours a deep red-brown with a small fizzy head that soon disappears. Aroma is quite subdued. Naturally slight tart cherries appear, some oak, some barnyard, some dirt and a dose of sweet caramel. Lightly oily mouthfeel despite a relatively high carbonation. Flavour is light tart cherries, some sweetness, light oak, light liqourice and a finish with heavy sweet caramel (which surprised me). It is tart, yes, and dries out my mouth to perfection, but it ain’t no geuze, so this might appeal to fruit beer lovers as well as lambic lovers. Wonderful.
