Shared bottle. Dark, deep, ruby red, almost brown with small head. Aroma of sweet cherries, raspberries, earthy, wet leaves, tart. Taste is sour, cherries, very vinous. Dry, medium body, sparkling carbonation. This is a heavy, great one, delicious, dessert beer.

On tap at the Muddy Pig in St. Paul. Murky reddish brown. Aroma - Sweet and Malty. Sour cherry taste, but not overly tart. Very nice blend of sweet and sour.

Pours a murky brownish red with no head. Sweet-tart aroma of cherries and wood and just a bit of funk. Flavor bursts with cherries, mildly tart and acidic but tends towards the sweet side, especially in the finish. A musty oakiness accompanies the powerful fruitiness. Pretty substantial body. (375 ml bottle, labeled Liefman’s Kriek)

Nice cherry sweet aroma. Deep orange red color. Fresh sweet fruit up front. Cicely balanced with dry sourness that is very palatable. Dry tart finish that is refreshing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2011 Aroma: Heavy tart cherry aroma, with undertones of malt, like a fresh bread or dough smell.
Appearance: Clear reddish brown with a thick head that was almost pink.
Taste: Extremely well balanced--heavy sweetness with touches of bitterness and sourness from the fruit to balance it out.
Palate: Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation, tart finish.
Overall: I certainly enjoyed the beer, and appreciated it for what it was, but it’s not something I’d hunt down and stock my fridge with. It was a very solid beer, but just too sweet and fruity for me. Obviously, that’s the style, so condemning it for such would be a fallacy, but it wasn’t a standout beer that transcended the style, either.

pours a dark cloudy copper red with a one finger fluffy light tan red head. aroma is dark sweet and tart cherries with skins and a little oak, yeast, and vanilla. has a medium body with good lacing and carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma but stronger. also has a little dry aftertaste. really nice! the cherries also sit on the tongue for a bit and the flavor is not lost at any point.

Reddish-brown beer with foamy tan head. Sour cherries and vinegar - but not medicinal. Slight edge to the cherry flavour but not much....could be a little more sour. Pleasant but as a sour ale goes I'd like it more complex and...well...sour.

The cherry flavor is there, but this ain’t no Lindeman’s Kriek, baby. Much more sour and tangy. Very satisfying.

Sweet and tart alchol, heavy on the cherries. Poured darker than I had expected. Heavier on the booze than Lindemans lambics and not very carbonated. I really enjoyed it. A quality lambic.

Rocky pink lasting head, c2cm, body lightly cloudy maroon colour. Aroma biscuit/mild yeast/smoky cherry vanilla, hint of port. Pleasant medium mouthfeel, little bit sweeter than I remember but the smoky cherry flavour is good. 37.5cm wrapped bottle, room temp from Liefman’s tulip.
