COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale brewed with cherries with natural flavor added. Contains barley malt. Wrap label: "Liefmans Cuvée - Brut is brewed only once a year, in July. After brewing freshly harvested and carefully selected cherries are blended in and the beer is cellared at the brewery. After a slow maturation of 18 months to 3 years different vintages are carefully tasted and blended to create the final result: a complex deep-red ale with refreshing balanced tart-sweet taste, strong cherry notes and sparkling carbonation."

It starts nicely tart then goes to a sweetness that fades fast to a dry long finish. The cherries taste very natural. This really is beer not lemonade like some in the style. Very nice!

Bottle from Alko. Dark ruby red color, pink head. Sweet taste with cherries, berries, toast, wheat and malts. Sweet finish with cherries, toast and wheat. Excellent kriek, although having some sourness wouldn’t hurt at all.

Interesting, but not our style. Pours a nice clear brown. Smells and tastes very lambic and sour, with raspberry and green apple. Very sour finish. Tasted at the BevMo Holiday Beer Fest.

Dark red looks with smallish head on top. Some lacing is there too. Aroma has cherry, raspberry and some other red berries. Taste is quite sweet but sour at the same time. There is cherry, sweet berries, raspberry. Medium body with really high carbonation. I was looking for more sour beer.

Tap@blackdoor. Red. Almondy, sweet cherry nose, some spices. Med bodied, but sweet, weak acidity. Quite drinkable still. Dessert sweet though. Very nice flavours.

Geruch nach Brett und "dunkler Kirsche". Im Geschmack dann trocken, leider ein bisschen Süßstoff. Trotzdem gut.

Botella de 37,5 cl, adquirida en un supermercado Albert Heijn de Amsterdam. Color rubi. Sabor a cereza, dulce, ligeramente agrio, a levadura.

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a smallish light brown head on there. Nose is sour and fruity, with berry elements coming through, and some cherry at the end. Taste is sour with a lot of cherry on there, and just seems like too much. Would prefer less cherry (but I detest cherry).
