Ale brewed with cherries with natural flavor added. Contains barley malt. Wrap label: "Liefmans Cuvée - Brut is brewed only once a year, in July. After brewing freshly harvested and carefully selected cherries are blended in and the beer is cellared at the brewery. After a slow maturation of 18 months to 3 years different vintages are carefully tasted and blended to create the final result: a complex deep-red ale with refreshing balanced tart-sweet taste, strong cherry notes and sparkling carbonation."

The flavour of this gorgeous beer can be described as sweet and fruity, with a certain sour touch. The aftertaste is rather complex and rich. First this Cuvee Brut beer matures for about 1 year. Then Old Brown beer and Goudenband beer is added to create this lovely brew. This Liefmans Cuvee Brut is brewed once a year. In July Liefmans ads fresh cherries to this wonderful brew. Then the beer starts maturing again. This time for about 18 months up to 3 years.

29.11.2014. Reddish brown colour. Aroma has strong sweet cherry, sth tart also, almost like juice. Sparkly carbonation, like sparkling wine. Taste is sweetish cherry and tart finish, berries. Maybe on the sweet side although sour. Interesting, not like beer at all.

Comes out of the tap clear ruby with a thin pinkish-tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma has a strong cherry overtone plus a shy malty note. Cherry dominates the flavor, with sweet and sour tones, while malt provides some support. Mouthfeel has good fizz and firmness. Cherry cheers!

Bottle. Dark brown with deep red hue and small grey-pink head. Cherry pie, candy, cherry soda, quite spicy, caramel, fudge, banana bread, rye, butter. Quite sweet with very light tartness and light weird bitter finish. Medium bodied. Decent beer, bit too sweet and light chemical bitter finish are the only downsides.

Cerveja bem marcante com uma aparência linda, cor de cobre e bem característica! Mas o sabor doce é algo muito requintado e marcante. Paladar muito forte e gosto muito doce

Bottle, tulip glass. No head. Deep hazy ruby. Strong cherry on aroma and taste. Very low carbons, juicy cherry and strawberry. Thick and oily. Sour, sweet and very tasty. Excellent.

Rubi com nuances de marrom. Boa formação e estabilidade, brilhante. Acético, cereja, framboesa, rústico. Na boca é inicialmente acético, mudando para frutas vermelhas. Boa carbonatação, corpo baixo. Aftertaste doce, refrescante.

Tap: Murky, opaque ruby tinted brown. Beige tinted head reduces quickly to a collar. Aroma of tart cherry flesh, vinegar, lemon, & some sour berry notes all around. Fruity, tart. Flavor is more sweet than sour. Super sweet cherries with hints of cola, very light vinegar, faint raspberry(?), & faint perfume. Thin, carbonated body. Would have expected or enjoyed more tartness but this is a pretty nice cherry fruit beer. Void of medicinal notes.

375 ml bottle. Ruby red hazy beer with a pinkish blonde small head. Aroma has cherries, raspberry, red currant, barnyard sourness and candy sweetness. Flavor is candyish sweet and sour with cherry and raspberry. Palate is thicker than medium full with high carbonation. Finish has mild bitterness. Aftertaste is berry juicy and sweet sour with light oak. Like liquid sweet and sour candy. Just like with lambics, I like oud bruins better without berries.
