kyzr (916), Bozeman, Montana, USA Apr 2, 2008 Light red pour with small pink head. Big cherry candy nose. Flavor is much the same, all cherries all the same. Has a cherry soda pop flavor, hard to tell this is an alcohol drink. Nice carbination, with a dry finish.
JamesD (156), Centreville, Virginia, USA Jun 14, 2008 I wanted a lot more sourness and acidity out of this, but the flavor and aroma were dominated by fruit and more "normal" beer flavor. It is definitely a fruit beer and not a lambic by any means. AmazonMatt (260), Panama May 19, 2008 I expected more from this "lambic", though I guess it isn’t a lambic.
Too sweet, not enough complexity or barnyard. Pleasing, but not exceptional. edden (912), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Apr 27, 2008 4/20/2008: Bottle. Black cherry Kool-Aid® body with a light pink head. Syrupy nose. Artificial, cherry syrup flavor. Cornfield (4262), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 10, 2008 Nice pour from the bottle into a Liefman tulip, a deep ruby body with a tall pink head. The aroma is a blend of Maraschino and dark red cherries. The firm carbonation keeps the sweetness in check, the flavor being fresh cherries with a light, delayed tartness. I like cherries, so this ale appealed to me.
