Liefmans Frambozenbier

Pours a purpley brown with a thin pinkish grey film of a head with some loose clusters of bubbles. Clear and reddish. Strong and sweet with a genuine raspberry aroma. A clearly malty aspect. Some caramel and perhaps a hint of chocolate malts. Very low carbonation. Smooth. Not watery at all, perhaps a tad syrupy. Very raspberry! Big fruit, malty, big malt but not too sweet. Round malt, a bit of caramel balanced with some fruity acidity. Lingering raspberry bite. Really tastes like raspberry! Sure the please beer haters everywhere... and it’s enjoyable enough for the rest of us.

Dark red, with a huge, creamy, pink head. Both aroma and flavour has sun ripe raspberries with their natural sweetness and sourness. The flavour has a nice body and balance, and this framboise is actually quite close to Lindemans, and that are big words coming from my mouth!! 1740

Botlle 25 cl. Pours a purplish amber with a small off-white head and a rich sweet smell of raspberries and malts. Taste is almost only cassis, maybe small hints of citrus here and there, but mostly raspberry. A very nice beer

Bottle poured into snifter- poured non transparent very darken red brown, dissolving head, aroma of sour tart fruit. Hits the mouth with a thin body, very tart berry taste that doesn’t really taste like raspberry, acidic after finish.

Bottle with cork: Poured a dark reddish brown with a light pink white head. Aroma is a soft raspberry along with carbonated alcohol. Taste is a bitter sweet raspberry with a nice dry tangy carbonated finish.

Pours a particulated caramel colour with a small white head that dissapates nearly instantly. Nose is first very medicinal but as the beer warms it gets much more pleasing, tart fresh raspberry becomes more vibrant and mouthwatering. Initial taste is tart red berry mostly dinstincting as raspberry, and apple in background. Moves into a unbalanced vinous notes that seems to collide into eachother leaving a dry and blank palate. Medium body and slight head retention. Overall interesting.

Draft. Pours a deep garnet with slightly offwhite head. Mildly funky sour nose, tart cherries melding into smooth clean sweet finish, very drinkable, very clean water profile.

Mild coffee raspberry aroma. Cloudy swirling fruit pour. Brownish purple, but mostly brown Nice tart raspberry feel, less sweet than I anticipated. Good beery attitude without any bitter at all. No hint of alcohol. Fine and friendly finish.
