Dough77 (771), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 9, 2004 not bad for a raspberry brew. it doesnt look as appealing to me as say a nice dark stout, but its taste is something else. full of berrys sourness, its honestly unlike anything else i’ve tasted. fun for a once in awhile brew to drink, but i prefer something a little more "beery’" over this fruty wine like liquid. dirkbreedveld (247), Netherlands Jul 5, 2004 hazy pink colour out of this tapbeer made in 2002. The nose is flat, more woody than fruity.
The flavour is dry with nice soft raspberryaroma’s, and woodaroma’s
The aftertaste is fresh, not sour at all and inviting. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 29, 2004 Dirty brown pour, light tan head and spotty lacing. Sour and tart raspberries, slight hints of barnyard and spices. Very light raspberried flavors. Sour and earthy. Palate is smooth and dry with a slightly tart body. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jun 28, 2004 Updated: Mar 30, 2008Bottle... ODBF 2004... Lovely, hazy, ruby-colored ale. Smells like raspberries and vanilla. Tastes like raspberries too. Medium-bodied, tart and lightly sweet. Fizzy mouthfeel. Short, fruity, dry finish. DomiNate (123), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 28, 2004 Light raspberry brown pour, with nice sticky lacing. Thick soapy, foamy head. Smells of raspberry and alcohol. Taste is very smooth with a little raspberry flavor. Not as much as the smell indicated. Little tartness and a great feel on the palate. Thanks Bück Dich! Happy Birthday! BückDich (4790), McCall, Idaho, USA Jun 28, 2004 Amber ruby with some sticky lacing & head. The aroma is lightly sweet with lots of raspberry, fairy one dimensional. The flavor is sweet with raspberry, no lambicness. Only faint dry barnyness, average sweet lambic. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA Jun 26, 2004 Sweet and tart for the most part. Rich raspberry color and aroma makes this a great beer for desert or relaxing with. Like a champagne of beer. jeffc666 (1886), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Jun 16, 2004 Very interesting color, orang-red-brown with a tall rocky red tinged head. The aroma is raspberry with a slight acid aroma. The flavor is loads of raspberry along with a bit of souness and acidity. The sweetness is dominate though. Upon further consoltation with my glass I get more balance between the sweet fruit and the sour ale. The tartness is most evident right after the swallow. Medium to light bodied with lively but not overly active carbonation. Quite a nice beer.
