Papsoe (14634), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 20, 2005 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Vintage 1991 at 5,1% ABV. Dark reddish beer with a nice, full slightly pinkisk head. The raspberries are very evident although pretty much balanced by the sour base beer. You don’t completely avoid been left with a sugarish feel in the mouth. Then pour a "Goudenband" and be jolly. 130194 omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 9, 2006 [Draught at White Horse, London] Cloudy dark red, no head. Balsamic raspberry aroma. Fairly sweet with medium body and some tart acidity. The complexity of the Goudenband is almost hidden in the raspberries, but it’s still in possessionof a fair bit of character. yespr (11638), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 19, 2006 Lovely red colour, clear sweet smell of raspberry. Certainly one the less sour frembozenbiers I’ve tastet. I’m personaly not a fan of these kinds of beers - but this is really great, perhaps because this was more sweet than sour. Perfect as a dessert beer! fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Feb 14, 2008 Bottle. Clear medium amber red color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, sour, moderate to light heavy raspberry, wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light sour with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (110208) oh6gdx (8796), Vasa, Finland Apr 21, 2006 Bottled 2005. Reddish brown colour, mediumsized offwhite head. Raspberries and some sourish hints in aroma. Flavour is sour raspberry with a bit wineish hints. Wellbalanced between sweet and sour, palate is semi-dry. Very refreshing. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Dec 17, 2004 Bottle. Nice raspberry aroma and flavour. Red, small white head. Nice soft drink. joergen (8429), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 9, 2005 Bottled.
Cloudy red brown coloured with a medium sized lasting beige head.
Sweet perfumed aroma of raspberries with notes of wood.
Sweet flavour of wood and raspberries with light acidic notes.
Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Nov 28, 2000 Sweeter than the Kriek, but the fruit blends seemlessly with the sour brown ale base. The house quaffer.
