Huge mousse-like red-tinged tan head on reddish borwn body. Head recedes slowly with excellent lacing. Nice strong raspberry sweetness with strong underlying malt flavour and a sweet yet tart yeast flavour that begs to be savoured. Balanced a bit on the sweet side but excellent nonetheless. High carbonation reminiscent of finest champagne. Bottle (green but wrapped in paper to keep out light - date on cork 2003). wulfhere (217), Billings, Montana, USA

Nice pop to the cork, and a quick whiff of tart and sweet strawberry or raspberry. The ale pours like champagne, with a quick, full head of very faint purple color. The berr is a nice deep rep/purple with quick bubbles fizzing to the surface. The first taste is powerfully pungent, with blasts of raspberry and lactic tongue bite. The overall effect is similar to a fruity champagne. Gotta get me another! turbothy (728), Bonn, Germany

Massively fragrant, but not sweet raspberry and malt aroma. Pronounced raspberry flavour with a very agreeable tartness. Goes down easily! ChrisPants (317), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

This brew pours ruby-amber, with slight pink tinge to head. Quasi-lambic fruitiness, but with sour replacing sweet. The fruit mellows after first few sips. I’ll try this one again. cheapdark (2053), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Brownish purple, but mostly brown Nice tart raspberry feel, less sweet than I anticipated. Good beery attitude without any bitter at all. No hint of alcohol. Fine and friendly finish. haddonsman (1234), Derby, Derbyshire, England

Very easy going, great party drink. Osmin99 (121), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
