Nov 22, 2002 Updated: Feb 22, 2003Rustic, brownish red, cloudy appearance, thin dissappearing white head, tart raspberry aroma, suprisingly unsweet raspberriness which is very subtle but still very noticeable. Very dry, champagne like finish...the description is very accurate in the sense that it resembles champagne...but almost too much IMO

Mar 27, 2003 Holy frickin' raspberry! this kinda sorta dark beer tastes like raspberry juice, but still yummi in a non-beer kinda way. Different, but good wussy way.

Jul 23, 2007 375ml bottle. Pours out a dark brown color with a nice tan head on it. Smell is full of raspberries and just a slight hint of some funky sour notes. Taste is sweet and not overly sour. Heavy on the raspberries. Pretty good stuff really, much better at colder temperatures though. Still, not bad.

May 28, 2004 Muddy colored beer with a creamy lasting head. Sweet and sour raspberry aroma - thick and syrupy. Flavor is sweet at first but ends in a nice sourish biding finish. Very flavorfull and fresh with plenty of raspberry.

Dec 13, 2003 Brown beer, some red haziness, small off-white head. Big kick of sweet raspberries at first, but they make way for their sour aspect quickly. Flavour is sour, sweet. The raspberries are not overwhelming which was a concern. Undertones of yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg. Light carbonation. Very nice. Bottle.

Oct 18, 2007 Thanks to biggcb, bottle from 1999. Pours a lightly hazy raspberry orange with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of raspberry, tart, cork, some funkiness settling in and various mixed berries. Flavor of sweet tarts, smarties, raspberries, tart and kind of funky but sweet.

Jul 14, 2005 On tap at Le sergent recruteur, copper-red hue, with a soft pinkish foamy head, with a sweet rapsberry aroma follws through on a medium-bodied very sweet and tart rapsberry palate, fruity raspberry flavors are dominating, soft tartness, with a good acidity in a sweet raspberry finish. A very good summer beer.
