750ml bottle @ #HPJ-13. Pours a dark ruby red with a pinkish head. Aroma is christmas spices, cherry, some caramel. Taste is fairly sweet. Christmas spices, ginger, clove, cinnamon, star aniseed. Mulled wine-like. Cherry and caramel. When heated, loses a lot of the flavor. Not as sweet, but not a complex either.

Rated when the beer boiled to 70 degrees Celsius as it says on the bottle. Good cherry beer. Good flavor and aroma. Good aftertaste Really great when you boil this beer. Do not really know if I should call this a beer but good was it to drink hot. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

WoW! I really like this! A hazy dark brown/red beer with a beige head. Nose: raisin, cherry, cardamum, cinnamon, dark fruit, spice and almond. Taste (cold): Refreshing! Cherry, nutmeg, vanilla and herbs. Sour taste. A great body an just that little bit of carbonation that I like! Now I have to try this warmed and poured: WoW again! A creamy, reddish, head and a great taste! Almoust like Glühwein. A really good Christmasbeer! Warmth from the heated beer and the alcohol. Great taste of cinnamnon, cherry, spices and nutmeg. If you have the chance to get it this christmas - DO!

A nice alternative to the mulled wines on the European Christmas market scene, Liefman's Glühkriek, served to me warm and steaming from the tap at Waltraud Spill's crepe stand at the Bad Hersfeld Christmas market, has a fruity, nutmeg aroma and a flavorful yet not overpowering cherry taste.
---Cheers until next time!

Don’t you ever drink mulled wine again. Drink Liefmans Glühkriek instead. This is just perfect. Perfectly balanced kriek bier. A lot of sweet cherries in both aroma and taste but never too much. Beautiful red shiny color.

750 ml bottle
I found this in Birmingham for £6.95 and thought "why not?" Unlike some Liefman beers it was actually palateable. In some ways it reminds me of a sour brown but with more fruity esters. Of all their line it might be the one worth trying first.
Aroma / Appearance - The chewy ruby red base was almost opaque. Idle carbonation snuck out from time to time. Sticky legs like clear ice slid down the sides. Cherry pie filling and a mildly tart bite drive home a fruity profile. It isn’t intense but still satisfying.
Flavor / Palate - Cherry pie, spicy nutmeg, and flat Dr Pepper have the texture of a week old bottle of cola. The sticky transition borders on cloying but does not quite get there. The semisweet finish has a light sour bite to it. Overall this is fairly balanced. If I were introducing someone to the style there are worse choices.
