Bottle. Pours a deep dark cherry red body which just barely squeezes forth a tiny off-white head. Aroma is sweet licorice, cherries and hints of prunes reminiscent of one of my childhood’s deserts often served by my grandmother; prune compote. :-) Dense and nice. Taste is equally dense, with sweet cherry notes up front, then hints of licorice, almonds and prunes make their way. Well integrated flavors and not too sweet. A good fruit beer in the sweet tradition from Liefmans, and although a glass is enough I must say I’m this is rather tasty. :-)

Test vom 13.8.2006, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 8,10,10,8,-,9 - 9,05

Bottle from a liquor store outside of GR, MI dated 1997. Dark brown red with no head. Spicy version of the kriek. Aged earthy sweet and spicy aroma. Reminds me of a gluwien. Sweet cherries sugar flavors very Christmassy. Sweet but decent. Not bad. 7/3/7/3/14

Deep red colour beer with a small white head. Aroma of cherrie and spices. Flavor is quite the same spices as in glühwein. Very sweet and sticky palate.

(bottle wrapped in paper ) The first fruit beer that I not only appreciated but took my old predjudices about beer brewed with fruit and pissed them down the crapper.
This stuff is like a Flanders brune but not as tart as something like Rodenbach . This beer is a beautiful mix between cherry sweetness , some blood like tart notes; brown ale maltiness and light spice. Aint syrupy at all. Very classy .!

Bottled 750ml. -Had this one on Christmas Eve with few friends.
Cold at 13 degrees C. Cherry red coloured, no head at all, candy cherry nose. The taste is quite similar to glögg with cherries added.
Hot at 70 degrees C. Heated in a bowl on the stove, measured with the appropriate thermometer. Cherry red coloured, big pale pink coloured, pleasant hot fruity cherry nose. I’ve managed to burn my tongue and throat (idiot, you are drinking something heated on 70 degrees C). Sweet cherry taste with spicy notes and acidic finish. Very interesting indeed but I’ll rather drink "ordinary beer".

0.75L bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Enjoyed in room temperature. Look mom, no head! Body is still, reddish brown with a glimpse of ruby. Sweet and fresh, spiced cherry smell. Sweet and acidulous cherry flavor. Anise seeds and faint alcohol. Pepper tones, too. Long lasting tart cherry finish. Nothing less than a beery Gløgg. What a treat!

Bottle. Warm version. Red/amber, small head. Interesting, warming on a winters night, but very, very sweet...
