12.04.2014, 0,75l bottle @ home:

Served cold:
7-4-5-3-11=3,0
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is very sweet fruity, sugar, lots of sweet cherries, caramel malts, berry skin, grass. Taste is very sweet, sugar, artificial sweet cherries, caramel malts, hints of cinnamon. Little bitterness, sweet slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Fair enough, to sweet.

Served warm:
Small creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and spiced, berry skin, hay, paper, slightly fresh cherries, burnt caramel, sugar. Taste is slightly sour-ish fruity, sour cherries, berry skin, grass, burnt caramel, spices, sugar. Medium bitterness and acidity, slightly dry mouthfeel. Nice enough.

All in all, the aroma is best when served cold, but it’s just too sweet. Taste is best when served warm, but the the aroma then falls apart.

We followed the instruction on the wrapped paper of the 750ml bottle and warmed up half of the content to 60-70 degrees Celsius. Clear, deep ruby red body with a few bubbles at the surface. Moderate aroma of spiced cherry and vanilla. Taste of cinnamon, almond, grain, raisin and sweet berries, not overly sweet. Drinks quite well and gives me a Yuletide feel. Better warn than chilled (shared with friends at Finns place, Tromsø 09.04.2014).

@Tower of power beer session feat. Finn. Dark fruits and berries, dark plum coloured body with filmy kayer on top. Oranges, peel, cherry, raspberry, clove, nuts. Very nice warmth and would definitely prefer this beer instead of the traditional Norwegian gløgg. 9.apr.2014. Thanks for sharing, Finn.

Nästan röd i färgen med ljusrosa skum! Ska drickas varm och det smakade mycket körsbär och mandelmassa! Rolig "öl" :)

Bottle with some friends. Heated up to about 60º i really like this beer. Heating it brings alot of flavour.

Import.

Backlog, had this both warm and cold over a couple of years, nice addition to the winter-seasonals, definitely stakes it’s own claim.

0,75 l bottle kindly shared by yngwie. Misty brown body with a tanned rim. Cherry jam on the nose. Pungent fruity, cinnamon, raisins, dark fruits and cherries in the mouth. Medium to full body. Smooth and flatish. Pleasant finish. As a curiosity we tried a heated version. That was more acidic like an hibiscus tea.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours hazy deep reddish with a small white head. Aroma of cherries and cgerry candy, fresh and inviting. Thick, slick oily mouthfeel. Taste is sweet, fruity and meaty cherries, bordering cloying, but lands on the right and enjoyable side. Also tried this one warm, and the aroma was a lot more spicy, with cinnamon and other spices. Taste was light sweet cherries with a nice spicy addition, very nice

Nydelig duft av kirsebær. Rødbrun farge. Lite skum. Nydelig smak av kirsebær. Prøvd to varianter, kald og oppvarmet. Oppvarmede gir også mer duft og smak av krydder i tillegg til god smak av kirsebær. Nydelig. Takk til Yngvar for å dele denne opplevelsen.
