Bottle. Tasted both at fridge temperature and heated 70°C as suggested on the label. Dark amber color. Cold version has a minimal head and heated has a medium thick foamy reddish white head. Sour aroma of cherries. Heated version has a lot smoother aroma and taste. Heated one tastes quite much like a German Glühwein with more cherries added.

Sample at Essen Kerstbierfestival 2014, shared with Mathieu87. Found back notes that where lost. APPEARANCE: red beer, with heat coming out, weird to have a beer like this. NOSE: very very spicy and cherry extract. TASTE: spices and kriek, nothing more actually, bit too hot even to drink in the beginning...

Det beste man kan si om denne er at det er alkohol... Sur og udefinerbar smak som verken er fugl eller fisk. Og det var ikke en dårlig flaske, for flaske nummer to smakte like spesielt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

@ Havregatan 150130. Bottle (750 ml) from Systembolaget. Fruity and quite glöggish and spicy (cinnamon and cloves), cherries, really sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, fruity and very sweet.

Nei. Varmet opp som anbefalt. Vinrød farge med lysrosa skum. Lukter gamle bær og krydder. Smaker kirsebær med en del kanel. Alt for søt. Lite glass før jeg varmet den opp, mer kryddersmak da.

This was the first beer, at least in Belgium, intended to be served hot. Was quite a revelation in that sense and only few have followed this example. I tasted it at room temperature once, but the added spices (cinnamon, cloves and star aniseed?) are way too harsh then, rendering it hard to drink. At the intended 70° C, this is kind of enjoyable on icy days, much the same as Glühwein; burgundy colour, no head to speak of except some large and quickly vanishing bubbles; the aroma is not very beery, but still relatively complex, with lots of cherry, the aforementioned spices, passion fruit, grenadine, sugar and a lemony sourish accent. Same for the taste, sweet and spicy, very fruity, smooth, with a drying spicy finish. I honestly don’t like warm drinks that much, not even in winter, but this is admittedly quite charming. I have always preferred the regular version, though.

Heated. Clear red-brown with a very thin, light-pink head. Aroma of glühwein, cherry, red berries and "christmasy spices". Taste is sour-sweet and spicy, slightly funky and dominated by cherry. Feels a bit sticky, medium body. Tasty, great glühwein-substitute!

Heated to about 70 degrees as recommended. This is really quite awful, bordering on undrinkable. Weak aroma. Can’t really describe it. The taste is dominated by sour cherries with a tiny hint of cardamom, ginger and cinnamon. The sour cherry flavor overpowers all of that though. It’s at least somewhat drinkable when served cold straight from the bottle. I can’t understand all the high scores.

December 29, 2014. Bottle at home, best before 2017.
Tried it both warm and cold, rating is based on the cold serving as I prefered it that way, warm I found it quite watery and bland.
Dark reddish brown with no head. Aroma is sweet and tart cherries, cinnamon and cloves. Taste is sweet and light tart with cherries and spices, Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

Wrapper stated best before 2000, drank this in Dec 2014, delicious. Tart cherries and subtle spices, quite sweet..
