Infinitely complex in aroma and flavor with notes of maltiness and tartness throughout. An unsurpassed old brown with the richness and complexity of a vintage wine.

Nice pleasant evening sipper. Belgium did unfortunately lose their first match in Euro 2016/France while I enjoyed this one.
Deep nutty color. Almost amber. A thin tan layer on top, due to a quite very soft carbonation. Nice intensity in the aroma. Medium to full body. Oily texture. Pleasant balance between sourness and acidity. Oak, vinous, mild vinegar, fruity and toffee.

In aroma bit acetic, mainly sweet caramel and raisins notes, notes of cherries and red wine are also present. Dark red clear colour with small beige head. In taste mainly sweet, caramel and bready notes; little acetic and sour, red wine notes and cherries are also present, little tart but ends fairly sweet. Full bodied, sweet, but not overwhelming, medium carbonation. Nothing on the wild side, pretty mild and sweet.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Bergstua 2 Jun 16. Ultramørk amber. Middels høyt skum med litt farge. Tung kirsebæraroma. Smaken har et lett kirsebærpreg. God fylde. Blir litt syrlig etter hvert. Bra - men lite variasjon.

So if it comes in a paper bag is it malt liquor? Or because it’s a fancy paper bag it’s something high end? Well it’s Belgian ennyweighs yakno. Let it breathe for a bit, then pour.... This has modest head, grows a bit, and a dark brown body with heavy Lambic carbonation. Grape, fruity esters, graham cracker, furniture varnish on the nose with hints of rhubarb. Flavour is sweet oak with cherries, more rhubarb, faint lambic funk. Good sharp finish. Lots of sweetness but not overly cloying - this is a great balanced beer, good sweetness that n00bs to Belgian styles would like. If I was destitute and homeless I’d pick this beer in a paper bag fo shizzles.
