Bottle... Clear, mahogany ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Fruity aroma with notes of must and barnyard. The flavor is a touch acidic and fruity, but sweet more than anything else. Alcohol is well-disguised. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Finishes fruity, astringent and a touch acidic.

Bottle, 37.5cl corked. Thx to the owner of 3 Små Rum, Reza. We were just about to leave the place when Reza told us to wait some more minutes as he would like to share a bottle of his favorite beer with us. I was a bit surprised when it turned out he wasn’t going to have anything for himself. A true beer lover, enthusiast and generous guy. The beer poured a slightly unclear copper body and a small, off-white head. Served a bit warm, without the temperature ruining anything. The aroma is lovely sourish and citrusy, with the alcohol showing itselves in a gentle way, and there’s also some horseblanket notes. Slightly caramel-sweet flavor, soon overpowered by a lemony sourness, and some horseblanket. Pleasantly tart, with some dark berries or dried fruits in the far back. Medium body. Lasting lemony sourness in the finish, with horseblanket and barnyard notes. A true beauty, complex, dangerously easy to drink, and really enjoying to drink. Rating: 8-4-8-4-16-4. (080709)

Bottled, 37.5cl champagne cork. (2005) Copper-colored, almost flat brew, with a small beige head. Acidic aroma with raisins, cherries, some yeast, cellar, fruits, mostly apples, and some alcohol. Lightly acidic on the flavor, with fruits, cellar, apples, prunes, sweetness and alcohol. Prickling and lightly astringent in the mouth. It has a long, fruity finish. A really lovely, tart beer with lots of different flavor and aromas. (060530)

Bottle, pours dark brown, thin white head, Fruity aroma, plenty of malt. Taste is of yeasty, fruity malts, bitter pallate, not a great deal of complexity here. Nice surprisingly good beer. Slightly sour. Very enjoyable.

Bottle into a Snifter glass. Pours a dark bownish hue with a hint of amber tones, with a nice and thing white tannish head that hugs the sides of the glass. Aroma consists of a very nice cherryish vinegar smell that is rather potent. Flavor brings out a sweet and sour vinegar taste which moves into a tiny tartness into and past the finish. Very smooth!!

Superb head, very compact, sustainable, good carbonation. Troubled raspberry colored brew. Nose of cherry and apple vinegar. Starts sweet then turns acidic though not that tart. Watery without being thin. It is hard to believe there isn’t any fruit in this brew. Very well done, refreshing.

Bottle at Paters Vaetje. Redbrown with a little light brown head, mostly lasting, ok lacings. Aroma heavy fruity. Flavor heavy fresh, as well sweet as acidic, in good balance. Light body, watery, some carbonation.

Poured a reddish brown with very little head and near to no lacing. Lots and oodles of sediment in this one. Aroma was malty and of sweet fruits. The flavor was of a caramel malty base, some breadiness (both odd for this style?), and spiced (coriander? again, odd for the style?), while the tart fruits took over ’til the finish of each sip (with a semi-sweet ending). Mouthfeel was flat, but nice.
