Very unique and complex. I enjoy sours of this type. Initially, the aroma was off-setting and like vinegar. This improved as it aired out. The color was a deep brown and amber color. There was virtually no head. The carbonation was low and palate light and oily. Very wine-like with grape and sour fruit flavors. It still had a beer essence through the yeast. Complex and clean. Very nice.

Aroma - heavy on the cherry, light on the oak. Taste is complex; dark cherry followed by a nice oakiness and finishing with a lingering and developing tartness. Not too sour though - just enough to make it refreshing.

Birra a doppia fermentazione, prima spontanea come le classiche lambic e poi in bottiglia. Forti note acetiche sia come profumo che al palato. Una specie di "Duchesse de Bourgogne" ma meno acetosa. Molto più bevibile per palati non abituati all’acido!

A very rich, complex, and robust beer. Yeasty sourness is immediately present, which fades into notes of oak, burnt brown sugar, raisins, vinegar, etc.

Dark brown pour. Aromas of raisin, wine, oak, and acidic sour notes. Flavor is sour prunes and notes of raisin. Decent sour brown. I’d be interested in trying other products from them.

Bottle bought in Belgium (Malting Pot in Brussels?). Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aroma complexly sour-sweet with plums, raisins, some medicine. Taste malty-sweet with somewhat sour-tart finish; dried dark fruits.

Bottle @ St. Nicolas, Brussels. Pours very dark brown with a creamy offwhite head, leaving some nice sugary lacings. Aroma of malt, caramel, oak, light sourness, hints of redwine, balsamico, little spice. Flavor is nicely sour, malty, light caramel, vinegar, balsamico, wood, notes of dark fruit. Medium body, soft carbonation, lasting tart / sour finish. 290714

Una sour davvero ottima, si presenta con un colore ambrato scuro e un generoso cappello di schiuma, all’odore e al sapore risalta immediatamente un carattere vinoso, con un buon corpo e una media carbonazione

Bottle @ ’t Poatersgat. Pours hazy very dark ruby brown with small beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of fruit and subtle touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of malt and caramel, quickly receding into intense vinous notes that stay long after the sip has gone down the hatch. Mild hoppy notes. Good stuff, but I was rather surprised to find the pronounced sweet hints, especially in the aroma.
