COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Infinitely complex in aroma and flavor with notes of maltiness and tartness throughout. An unsurpassed old brown with the richness and complexity of a vintage wine.

This Flemish sour ale is in my opinion not the best in its kind. It has a beautifully dark red body, with a nice white pearly head. It tasted the typical sourness, but I missed a bit the finish, which was too empty for a flemish sour ale.

Aroma: sour fruits, cherries, plums and wild notes. Taste: again sour fruits and wild notes. Fresh cherries and little dose of white wine. Nice balanced beer with little alcohol warming. Small head, no lacing and medium carbonation. Price [Warsaw, Poland] 20PLN (0,3 bottle)

Dark brown color with a minimal light beige head with short duration. Aroma has vinous notes, barrel and ripe red fruits. Flavor is sourish, notes of tartiness and red wine with barrel hints, some cherries and burnt sugar. Sourish final with a great complexity and a light sweetness with ripe fruity notes.

Nose of big sourish berries, some burnt malt, wood, and a touch of funk. Dark brown color, small tan head, which diminishes quickly. Light acidic initial, sweet ripe berries, thin cheesy notes, brown sugar. Thin-medium body, gentle carbonation, light astringency. Unexpectedly good and complex.

Deep brown body. Tan head. Fig/cherry/plum/earthy aromas/ some raspberry. Medium sour presence. Finishes like a dubbel as the dark fruit and earthy character of the beer overpowers the palate. unique.

0,375l Flasche. Braunes Bier mit kleiner Schaumkrone. Riecht nach Röstmalzen und leicht nach Trockenfrüchten. Schmeckt auch so; toll abgestimmt.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served showing a deep mahogany hue, with a presentable layer of light tan head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was esters galore, with dark fruit as plum & raisin, berries, cherry, and vinous-like concord grape. Medium bodied, with decent spritz to the carbonation, the taste continued the esters, showed tartness, dryness, and some alcohol, was well balanced, but not overly expressive flavor. Almost sessionable.
