The nose is sweet and lambicesque with hints of raspberry and perhaps a note of cherries. Not very barnyardy, but a solid does of acidity in the nose regardless. The body is beautifully smooth with just the right amount of thirst-quenching spritziness. Sweet maltiness starts this slightly yeasty lambic. Some fruit bursts in the middle with a touch of tart raspberry and just the right amount of malty sweetness. A very nice, smooth going, non-intimidating flemish brown. Aroma of sour cherries, chocolate and damp wood. Sweet cherry like flavors at first, remaining sweet throughout but with a subtle balancing sourness. Thickish on the palate with a touch of syrupyness half way through, moderate suggestions of coffee and chocolate add considerable complexity and depth. stephen louis (162), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Pours a ruby amber red with a tan head, and tonnes of floaties...the nose is slightly sour, and malty.
On the Taste:yellow plums, spicy yeast, tangy cherrys, and a metallic bite, that mellows into candy and carmel, the finish drys up real nice, and leave a warm glow in the mouth and belly.
well worth your time.

Sourish "brown" aroma, vinious, with some sweetish malt and oxidized components as well. Flavor is deep and rich, hints of sour keep the sweetness at bay. A few sips show the alcohol that you can't taste. After a few sips the aroma seems somehow hoppy??? Rich malt flavor, with hints of cherry, faint oxidation in the background. Quite nice. Big, complex taste with initial sweetness followed by an apple cidery crisp tartness. Many rich, earthy undertones as well. This is beer as food, reddish, murky color w. lots of sediment. Very enjoyable, you’ll warm up to it more and more with each taste. JohnC (2287), Mission Viejo, California, USA

Appearance: This pours a hazy brown color with no head.
Flavor: This has some sourness to it, along with a mixture of subtle, complex flavors. It finishes very smoothly. The alcohol is completely hidden and sneaks up on you later.
Aroma: The nose is somewhat vinuous ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA

Pours a deep dark brown, with tons of huge sediment floating around. Smallish off-white head. Aroma is great. Lots of cider vinegar, apples, tart cherries, raisins, some malt. Opens up sour/bitter but quickly a soy sauce flavore, but sweeter, comes out. Has a nice medium body, slightly grainy and bubbly. Lots of brown sugar sweetness, with lots of vinegar taste, though not as sharp and acidic. Has a wonderful balance, finishes with a lovely touch of hops and yeast. Lingering bitter sweet flavor. Like a nice gueuze with some agnostura bitters and some cider in it. Manages to be very tart, yet has a big sweet flavor.
