Cloudy with big particles. Redbrown hue.
Aroma of cabbage, brown sugar, alcohol and hints of chocolate. Cellar tones.
Sourish dry flavour with tones of black currant, butter and rhubarb. Earthy with tones of mould. Fruity and tart finish. A great experience since I brought home from Belgium. Is only sold at the brewery. The bottle is almost covered with black yeast on the inside. A friend thought it was corked, i´m skeptic. If you ever pass Oudenaarde in southwestern Belgium, buy a bottle. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada

Pours a thin, quick dissipating, white head and a brown-reddish body. Strong, sour white wine scent with slight cranberries. Taste of sour grapes and a hint of apples in finish. Very dry. Delicious and complex nature to this beer. BeanDip (107), Florida, USA

Dried cherries or raisins, plummy. Tastes much the same. Little like a somewhat flat cola. I can smell a hint of the 8%. Nice carbonation. Lovely, malty finish. Very nice but kept longer for a bit more bite. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2005 1987 Vintage. Poured a brown color with a thin white head that fully diminished. There was a slightly musty wine aroma which may be mostly due to being 18 years old. Very light with a rather sweet flavor. tomthompson89 (1494), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
