Sweet, very fruity aroma. Very nice fruity flavour with some bitter notes (like orangepeel) coming through better at the end. More sweet than sour, could have been a bit more sour, but nevertheless, this was very enjoyable. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2007 Poured into a snifter with a large off white frothy head. Lots of large brown particulates. Aroma resembles a robust white wine overlayed with dark fruits, tartness is apparent. Initial taste begins with a slight malt, fizzy mouthfeel, and sour. Finishing with a cherry tartness that rocks the sides of your tongue. Palate seems to put it’s brakes on and falls short. Head retention is good and lacing of the glass is beautiful. 8% is well masked. Well balanced and very enjoyable. TrefwoordPunk (556), Leiden, Netherlands

Pour a warm ruby red with a small off-white head and an acidic aroma. The flavour is sweet at first, with notes of toffee, artificial sweetener, prunes, salmiac and cherries. After this initial taste the taste gets sour, acidic, wine that has been open for too long and cider. Nice sour beer. johndavidj99 (123), Township, Maine, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Aroma consists of a very sweet caramel and candy apple coating aroma with some booziness. Has a barley wine esc smell. Pour is brown with an almost non-existant head. There are some floaties and yeast has stuck to the side of the bottle. Sourness is overpowered by the sweetness, cherry, caramel, alcohol and malt. Not really that tart or sour.
