Infinitely complex in aroma and flavor with notes of maltiness and tartness throughout. An unsurpassed old brown with the richness and complexity of a vintage wine.

Extremelly vinous character, almost vinegar like flaovr. Poured a nice brown with a fizzy light head. Aroma was infinately complex with raisins, cherry, wood , resin. Flavor was intense with a strong fruit tartness to it. Has a distince "celler" like character ti it. A very pleasant offering.

Bottle @ ’t Poatersgat. Pours hazy very dark ruby brown with small beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of fruit and subtle touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of malt and caramel, quickly receding into intense vinous notes that stay long after the sip has gone down the hatch. Mild hoppy notes. Good stuff, but I was rather surprised to find the pronounced sweet hints, especially in the aroma.

On tap at Old town Paradiso. Pours a clear cherry reddish brown with silky beige head that fades to the edge. Aroma is sweet dark cherries, funky tang and light sweet oak. Flavor is complex sweet cherries, vanilla, and caramel malt with toffee. Finish of sweet fruit tang with bright carbonation.

Beautiful lactic sour, dark fruit, and oaky wood aroma. Taste is very full flavored. Sour is muted compared to some sours, maybe 3 or 4 of 10 sour. Great balance, great woody flavors. Some finishing sweetness that tastes like it comes from the wood. Very complex ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, dark, reddy brown. Film and halo of tan head. Sour cherry. Kirsch. Brown bread, grainy maltiness. Light bonfire toffee. Some dried vinous fruit in there, too. Taste is light sour. Boozy sweetness. An apple core dryness and bitterness, gives balance. Palate is smooth. Finish is dry and tart, with a little lingering, fruity sweetness.

Tap: brown color with some red hues. Light brown frothy head that sticks around the edge for quite a while with some spotty lacing. Sweet tart apple aroma with a smooth feel and acidic vinegar flavor finish. This vinegar is mainly in the aftertaste. Other flavors I noticed were rubber, tart raspberry, with some flat cola. Overall, pretty awesome.
