Slacks (355), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Feb 18, 2008 375ml Bottle: Great packaging with a sweet paper wrapping and such, certainly makes it stand out. Not sure why but I was surprised to find it so dark on the pour, a deep copper ruby brown with a two-finger cream head. Aroma is lots of sour cherries, some noticeable bitter hops. Flavour is more beer than fruit, which is always exciting, offering a rich maltiness and tons of tart cherry, and a non-cloying nice sweetness. This is well done!
weaselkenievil (272), Cheshire, England Jul 5, 2008 Sour ale eh? Lovely. Not too sweet or sour which often turns me off these sour’s. Really drinkable and refreshing. Now to work on learning to cook something beautiful to go with it. bitbucket (1455), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours murky reddish brown with a thin light pink head that settles quickly. Some dark brown sediment remains in the bottle. Aroma of cherries, lemons, earth. Light body, carbonation tending to light. There is a clear cherry flavor that is surprisingly fresh, and then the sweet-tart mix of lemon and toffee. Crisp finish. NosirIwont (795), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy red/brown with a small beige/light brown head. Sharp acidic fruit aroma. The cherries are somewhat in the background at first, but come to stand more out as it warms. Remote notes of plums and horse blanket also appear. Sweet cherry flavour with a bitter touch. Sweet, acidic finish. 04-07-08. azlondon (457), Greater London, England Jun 30, 2008 Appearance: Red, hint of brown. Little bit of head (fizzy).
Aroma: Fruit, strong cherry. A bit sour.
Taste: Sour cherry, but also very sweet.
