UPDATED: NOV 19, 2010 Bottled. I like those flemish sour ones, and this didnít disappoint me either. It has a clear, brown body and a beige head. It has a quite weak, but complex aroma with coffee, roastiness, cellar-notes, blackcurrant and sourness. The flavor isnít at the same level, with sweetness, sourness and dried fruits. Full to medium body. A nice beer who deserves more flavor. Rating: 7-3-6-4-14-3.4. 061222

Bottle, 25cl. It pours a clear, dark amber to brown body with just a tiny, tiny off-white head soon diminishing into a little bunch of bubbles on half of the surface. Nice aroma with berries and vinegar in a pleasant union. Some cellar and dried fruits as well. The flavor is pretty much the same, but a bit weak maybe. Medium body, tart. Pleasant acidity in the end, with a sugary sweetness too. A beer I could drink a lot of, often. Tasteful and easy drinking. 101119

Bottled. A dark red coloured beer with no head. The aroma is musty, woody and twiggy with subdued fruits and sourness. The taste is woody and dry. An old tasting beer with more sourness but itís again quite subdued. Drinkable but plain really.

A Mes rate: 25cl bottle from Quinns. I love flemish sours and this is no exception. Glorious nose with hints of cherry, plum and spice. Muddy dark brown slightly cloudy body with a swiftly dissipating head. Creamy malts in the mouth with some mature cheddar, dark fruits, vinegar and cinnamon. Lovely tangy notes with a delicate sourness. Beautifully soft mouthfeel. Peppery acidic finish. Nice beer.

Bottle: Clear ruby with a thin white head that quickly disappears, sour woody aroma that isnít very appealing, thin bodied with mild carbonation, starts and ends sour.

Bottle. Fantastic look. Smells like Rodenbach (light). But it is too sweet for me although it contains the right ingredients.
