Bottle @ Microbar, Clapham. Pours dark brown with little to no head. Aroma of raisins, dark fruits, sour, malts. Taste is vinous, berries, straw like, woody. Not a bad beer.

Bottle @ Microbar, Clapham, London. Nose of vinegar, sour apples, malt and molasses. Pours a dark ruby coloured beer giving a small whit ehead. Taste is tart, malty with vinegar and vinous notes and a syrup red wine finish. Although it has the right ingredients it just doesnít "get you there" like other sour ales do.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2014 330ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki, Belgian Beer Week 2008) (6:4:7:3:14=3.4)
Hazy brown with orange glints, thin head. Softly sour and rich malty aroma, a hint of piss. A little apple in the sour taste, creamy in the maltiness, and very well balanced between the sour and the sweet. Mellow and refreshing.
250ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, RIP) BB2009 possibly, Drunk 2014/07 (7:4:7:3:14=3.5)
Original Liefmans, not Moortgat. Lovely barrel aging aroma, some butteriness and wood esters. Lovely gentle sweet red ale taste still, and the sour bite is still lovely, possibly sharper than before. Sweetness has subdued a little. Pleasant red, small brief head, carbonation a bit brief. Malts have turned a little papery. A lovely refreshing sipper even though itís probably 8 years old, maybe more. Again, great balance between the sweetness and the sourness.

Bottled. Brownish ambery colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sourness, cherries and wet wood. Flavour is very sour fruity and wooden notes with also some wineous hints. Quite brutal breakfast beer. I was surprised by that an Oud Bruin would be a sour ale, but in a very positive way. Nice.

Dark brown with a weak head. The aroma is sour with notes of fruit. The flavour is sweet/sour, mostly sweet. It has notes of fruit and a rather dry finish. I think itís boring, mostly perhaps because Iím disappointed. I thought this was a brown ale as the bottle says, but I think itís more like a sweet Flemish sour....

Dark brown with a red hew & a creamy off white head. Sweet deep malty & fruity aroma. Body is medium. Nice matured taste with a pleasant sourness. Berries & light sugar. Great flemish ale!

Bottle. High off-white long lasting fluffy head. Hazy dark red body. Acidic berries aroma. Hard to describe bitteer to acidic but still relatively sweet and mild round flavor with caramel cutrys and a good deal of sugar as well. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste.

Burgundy pour sniffing of cherry stone fruit, almond, a dab of malt vinegar. Beige suds resolving into mould-like clusters. Mellow fruity acidity, stale oak, a tingle of sherbet. Plenty of biscuity malt in a long sweet aftertaste. Easy drinking, nicely balanced, sweetish sour ale.
