250ml bottle. Soft tart aromas. Pours reddish-brown, with some amber reflections. Develops a small head with poor lacing. Light bodied, high carbonation. Taste is sour, berries, with a sweet aftertaste. Very balanced. Maybe some more body would be ok, but we can always try with Goudenband.

Amber pour with a khaki head. Somewhat bland aroma, but there is a nice bit of malt sweetness. Some grape, mild cherry, and a definite acetic sourness. The taste is a bit bland and watery, but as with the nose, there is some fruit character and a mild tartness. Fairly basic and mediocre, just a bit of red wine vinegar and some mild grass.

Draft at Wesley Chapel Brass Tap. Pours a muddy brown color with an off white head. Vinegar sourness in the aroma and flavor. Nice palette cleansing beer.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Victorieís. Pours a nice Dark brown, with a very effervescent head. Candy, strawberry and apple aroma. Taste has an almost balanced sweet and sour, with sour coming out on top a bit. Getting grape, juicy tart apple. A light to medium body, with the carbonation fine but also very efferfescent. Too sour for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Fulton Grand with Erica last night. Dark pour, close to black, kind of purple, no head to speak of. Aroma is dry red fruit, pretty grapey. Flavor is pretty much the same - tastes almost more like a fruit beer than a sour. There is a definite tartness to it, but itís not really acidic or anything, and I donít get much vinegar. Just kind of tart; wine-like in mouthfeel and even flavor to some extent. Still enjoyed.

On tap at BCTC. Dark brown murky. No head at all. Smell is weak like a muscadine wine. Pretty sweet and hints of vinegar. Sort of a unfiltered grape juice. Kind of oaky but not overly memorable.

I canít believe I havenít had this before. Brown, or I suppose bruin. Smells woody, caramel and winey. Kind of a mix of rich caramel and bready flavor and winey tart flavors. On tap, Thirsty Monk, Asheville.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Rattle Ní Hum. Amber brown, lively head. Lots of dried fruit, balsamic vinegar, funk. Kind of tame for a sour. Straight forward, lacks the extreme complexity that I expected from an old Belgian brewery in a wild ale.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark brown with a red tint and a thick lasting tan frothy head. Smells of vinigar, malt, berry, caramel and dry oak. Medium oily frothy body. Sourness lingers. Starts sweet with vinigar, kiwi, very ripe fruit, plum. More sweet than sour, wood and sour cherry. Very good and complex but sour.
