Sour dark fruits aroma. Nice dark sugar and sour flavour. Hardly any carbonation. Some metallic aftertaste, though.

Bottle (250 ml). Almost clear reddish brown wwith small off-white head and some lacing. Taste is mild with red fruits, no vinegar notes, light acidic presence and caramel. Taste is also mild with red fruits, light caramel and hints of acidity. Light body. Moderate carbonation. Very soft Oud Bruin, but still tasty. A good one to initiate someone to the style. There’s not enough complexity, deepness, acidity and wood/barrel presence to compete with the best of the style.

Flaska från Belgianbeerz.com. Mörkt röd med lågt ljust skum. Doftar svagt av malt och surt. Smakar först surt med körsbärton men övergår till svarta vinbär. Helt ok.

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a deep red-hued brown body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is almond essence, vanilla, raisins, fizzy fruit-flavored candy powder, hints of caramel. Taste is red fruits, raisins, the afore mentioned candy powder and hints of vanilla and caramel. Light and rather watery body, soft carbonation. A bit bland IMO, but Oud Bruin is not really my cup of tea anyhow.

Bottle. Opaque brown pour with persistent off white head. Aroma of brown sugar, caramel and roasted grain, very light acetic aromas. Taste is sweet, fruity, mostly brown sugar flavors with a tart acidic finish. Palate is med bodied with light-medium carbonation. Okay.

250 ml bottle. L2045. BB 08/2015. From belgianbeerfactory.com.
Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is sweet dark fruits, malt and mild sugary sweetness. The flavour is sourness, dark fruits, mild sweetness and malt. A bit thin. Otherwise quite nice.

Bottle poured into a snifter. Very dark mahogany/deep red, with a small beige bubbly head. Aroma is vinousy, sour cherries. Taste is sour and a bit tart, slight fruitiness, sour fruits, some carbonation and a nice mouthfeel. Overall quite good, although a bit subdued.
