Liefmans is a unique, refreshing blend of beers, ripened on real cherries in our cellars, blended with natural fruitjuices of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, billberry and elderberry. The result is a slightly Champenoise pearling, fruity, and agreably sweet drink, sparkling and refreshing.

[Bottle (250ml)] As ’Liefmans Fruitesse on the Rocks’. Pours a deep ruby-amber with a large lasting frothy pink head. Aroma of sugary raspberries and cherries, just a touch tart, and that’s pretty much it. Cherry flavour along with some wheat or grain, sugar and raspberries. Average bodied. It’s not as bad as I feared, and it’s a small bottle so it’s fine I guess.

Sample at Hopfest 2015. Comes a clear pale red with a decent pink head. Aroma of fruit and berries. Taste is cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. If there is a next time I will try it over ice.

On the rocks. Cassis colour, pink foamy head. Nicely fruity nose and taste with red berries and cherries, slightly sour. Medium carbonation and body. Not a real beer...

250 ml bottle. Pours a clear red with a small, short lived, pink head. Strong, sweet aroma of red berries with some acidity. Very sweet and artificial flavour of red berries with a dry, tart finish. Light body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Tastes more like soda than beer.

snifter filled from large bottle (original) -- revised in May 2015 with a 250 ml bottle [BB 2-2016]. Pours a nice clear light red with a medium but sudsy pink cap. Head has good retention. Sweet fruity smell, with too much suggestion of medicine or artificially flavored candy. A bit too much sweetness. Tart-sweet flavor with strawberry and cherry leaves the aftertaste of a fruity dessert. This did not compare favorably with the Lindemann’s Framboise I had just before trying the Liefmans. The former had a markedly more powerful aroma and flavor and a better mouthfeel. Still, this has no major flaws and is a serviceable substitute for a better lambic, particularly as a dessert brew.

Cor de cereja, espuma boa e de média persistência. Vivaz. Aroma adocicado de frutas. Paladar de frutas vermelhas e seco. Retrogosto de leve amargor.

Red cherry juice look with thin rimming beige head; aroma is of sweet cherry; Flava is sweet cherry cough medicine; feels light slight fizz; finishes very sweet and cloying

[Ölresa i Bryssel med Wihlan 2015] helt OK, lite artificiella aromen och smaker men iskall i ett stort glas med is på en varm sommardag så

330ml bottle, as Liefmans ’On The Rocks’. Poured on the rocks, as the label instructed me to do. Seemed to water the flavours down a bit. Big sugary sweet smoothie aroma. Taste is soft cherry and red berry fruits. Light and harmless.
