Liefmans is a unique, refreshing blend of beers, ripened on real cherries in our cellars, blended with natural fruitjuices of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, billberry and elderberry. The result is a slightly Champenoise pearling, fruity, and agreably sweet drink, sparkling and refreshing.

Half of 4x25cl bottles, merci ma... Red berry grenadine on the rocks, to be served on even more ice. Nose of unadulterated molten HariboKirschen and decongealed raspberry mousse with strawberry sirup, including all pectines and ascorbine acids, the slightest hint of beer to be traced not sooner than retronasally, upon burping up all that lipsmackingly sticky cherry candy. A mousse, a grenadine, an ice cream...just not a beer - I like Gary’s remark that the raspberry is in 3D here. A Belgian brewing & mixing abomination so confident and endemic to the culture you just better learn to accept it is going to be there waiting for you, at some point in your most regressive drinking state. Still better and fuller quality of fruit than most lemonade Radlers, though (including Stiegl)- NOTE: Can’t this just be entered as "Liefmans Fruitesse" (On the Rocks)?

Appearance: Clear red, reddish head but not much of it.
Aroma: Berries, all different kinds.
Taste: Again, lots of berries. Sweet. Not much "beer flavour" in there.
Bought: Halle aux Boissons (Matran), 250 ml, CHF ?.??

Bottled, 330ml from S.H Jones in Banbury as Liefmans Fruitesse. Pink amber with pink head. There is a pleasant fruity nose on opening with just an inkling of the trials to follow. On drinking this is really sweet, syrupy sweet with artificial raspberry, strawberry notes, bubblegum, fruit cordial. Sorry but I didn’t like it.

@ Basunen 15-1-24: stor fruktig doft. Smaken är stor och fylld med körsbär. Avsaknaden av syrlighet gör den lite saftaktig, men den är lätt och frisk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Bottle at home gifted as a christmas present. Vibrant reddy / purple coloured pour with a lasting fluffy pink head. Aroma is big sweet pungent cherry, strawberry, pez sweets and cough drops, jammy, hint of sourness of the nose, but mostly very sweet. Flavour is composed of sweet cherry, mixed fruit stawberry and raspberry, cough drops, pez sweets. Palate is very sweet, but dry, airy, highish carbonation. Bit chalky on the tongue as well. Very sweet, but decent fruit character makes it ok.

"Fruitesse On the rock", titre à 3,8%.
