Liefmans is a unique, refreshing blend of beers, ripened on real cherries in our cellars, blended with natural fruitjuices of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, billberry and elderberry. The result is a slightly Champenoise pearling, fruity, and agreably sweet drink, sparkling and refreshing.

Strong fruit aroma with a red appearance. The blends of fruit are very smooth, tasting like a mixed fruit cobbler. The berry flavors are bold and refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2013 Bomber poured into small snifter glass. Clear ruby color with the thinnest of white heads. Tart cherry aroma with other tart fruits. Strong cherry flavor dominates, very sweet and carbonated. Thin body. Alright, not really my thing.

Bottle from local Yamaya. Cherries and strawberries in the nose. Dark purple-red with link pinkish head. Tangy fruit, especially cherries, in the initial; the other fruits, strawberries mostly, emerge in mid palate; the final stretches the tartness and sweetness, and then it flattens out. Thin and very astringent. Cheeries are by far the dominant note in this beer. But quite a blend of several berries. Pleasant stuff

Bottle, 250 m. Strong, transparent ruby colour without any head. Smell is of cherries mostly and a bit of straberries. Very artificial nevertheless. The taste follows the smell, strong cherry flavour, heavily carbonated. Average if you ask me but great if you’re looking something for your 7-year-old son to drink while you’re having a proper beer.

Poured a thin to medium density hazy on top purple/pink with more clarity toward the bottom revealing lots of floating sediment. Aroma is all fruit, sugary sweet with lots if berry notes, sour cherry, black berry, medicinal cough syrup some old wet oak. Nice bubbly carbonation wih a lighter body and a sugary finish. Flavor is overly sugary with some cheap berry notes, cough medicine drops, touch of old pie. Very sweet overall and seems to be enhanced by sugar.

Pours light red/pink with a frothy white head. Aroma is a blend of fruity sweetness. Light bodied, very easy drinking and effervescent. No real bear taste, just fruit. Too sweet.

Flute pour of hazed pinkish red with a fluffed white head. It literally smells exactly what I would imagine the color pink to smell like. Along with strawberry and raspberry. Flavor is tart with fruity notes, strawberry and raspberry. Lighter medium body. not horrible, but I’m good with one.

Had this bottle sat in the fridge for ages and finally gave it a go tonight - lovely punch in the nose with strawberry jam there and some sickly (but nice) forest fruits in there. A bit sweet, but altogether a pleasant drink. Far nicer than that dreadful Früli.
