Liefmans is a unique, refreshing blend of beers, ripened on real cherries in our cellars, blended with natural fruitjuices of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, billberry and elderberry. The result is a slightly Champenoise pearling, fruity, and agreably sweet drink, sparkling and refreshing.

6 pack with two glasses at the lcbo. deep red pour, with a medium pink head. huge aroma of various berries, but it seems to lean towards cherry. a touch of sourness, with a big wollop of sweet berry juice. the finish is agfain very sweet, but juicy, and not totally unpleasant. there is enough tartness, thought not much, to keep me happy. decent fruit beer.

250 ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Cloudy, hazy ruby red colour with dirt-like yeast sediments; Nearly half-finger head and pink foam which lasts for about 1 minute; Small and sticky lacing with notable carbonation; Good aroma of fresh cherry, raspberry, cherry juice, rhubarb, sugar, perfume, pollen and cellar; Sweet taste of raspberry juice, cherry juice, carbonated soda water, molasses, yeast, and sparkling wine; Mid to light body, thin but winery palate; Taste profile is largely raspberry and cherry - fruit and juice - with pretty strong but not cloying sweetness, accompained by mildly tart winery taste. Its body is a bit thin for the sweet taste; Hoppiness is manifested in floral / perfume aroma, bitterness is close to zero, with sweetness and wine tartness as finish; Slightly dry after taste, extremely easy to mouth.

Comments: Everything I want for a good fruit beer is here - fragrant berry and perfumey aroma, rich berry taste, right dose of sweetness, and quite rich palate. If its body can be a bit more richer, a bit more malt and hops, plus a little more drier, this will be unbeatable. Do I say it’s very enjoyable already? 250 ml is not enough for me! :)

Beer to mini Trappistes Rochefort goblet.

Aroma: Fruit juice, slight sour tingle. No hint of beer in the aroma. Pleasant but not complex.

Appearance: Transparent deep ruby red; thin off white head disappears quickly.

Taste: Fruit juice, but with a sweet and sour tang. Bitters out in the end and the malts reveal themselves.

Palate: Not at all cloying considering the fruit aroma and taste...actually balances the flavour components alright but is on the artificial side. Mouthfeel is medium thin and finish is dry.

Overall: Not a bad beer but there is better out there. Tone down the sweet slightly and it would be brewtastic.

330ml bottle - Dark red, an aroma of elderberries and wild fruit, a small light frosty head and a gorgeously refreshing taste. A light sprinkling of mixed fruits followed by a hint of sourness to end. Simply wonderful fruit beer and thankfully not too sweet like some.

Bottle. Red colur with a light pink head. Aroma and taste of sweet forrest berries, elderflower and a bit sour finish. I miss a bigger head but at the end of the day this is a refreshing and not too sweet fruitbeer.
