COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Liefmans is a unique, refreshing blend of beers, ripened on real cherries in our cellars, blended with natural fruitjuices of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, billberry and elderberry. The result is a slightly Champenoise pearling, fruity, and agreably sweet drink, sparkling and refreshing.

I don’t like fruit beer.... An industrial taste, not like natural fruitjuices...

Flaske fra roma sofiemyr. Klar rød farge, lys rosa skum, medium karbonert. Smaker marsipan, kirsebær, hyllebær og jordbær. Ganske søt, men har også en behagelig sur ettersmak

Deep cherry red. White to pink head which quickly disappears. Cherry and candy nose. Sour. Very sweet. Thin and oily body. Low and stingy carbonation. Cherry, cola, candy flavour.

Pours a crystal clear bright red, with no head at all. Aromas on the nose are lactic, and there are some cherry notes too. Aromas on the tongue are similar; a strong aroma of lactic acid, and some ’weird cherries’ and an artificial aroma in the aftertaste. The taste is very sweet, and unpleasantly sour. The mouthfeel is thin, watery and overly fizzy. This beer tastes more like a cherry yoghurt than a cherry beer. Dreadful taste, lactic aromas and a watery mouthfeel makes this a(n expensive) drainpour. Yuck!

Deep red pour, pink head, lots of lace. Smells like red cherry candies and cough syrup. Tastes similar, sickeningly sweet red juice, children’s cough syrup, a faint mustiness. Probably better to be poured over ice cream or to make mixed drinks with.

From a large bottle in a snifter. Cloudy ruby. Intense sweet fruit flavor and aroma. Cherry heavy. Not that much depth and could use more tartness. Average.

Sampled from a 750 ml corked green bottle this beer poured a dark red color with lots of little floaters and a large foamy pink head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet mixed berry jam with notes of blueberry, strawberry and elderberry. The flavor was sweet sugar and mixed berry jam with notes of strawberry, cherry and blueberry and a tartness underneath. Long sweet tart mixed berry jam finish. Moderately full bodied. Yummy!

33cl served in a Trappist glass. Pours a bright pink colour with a pink head. Too sweet by a mile - more like a child’s pop than a beer. By a country mile the worst beer I have ever tried. I cannot think of a redeeming feature.
