3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
6 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom as part of a six-beer flight. Consumed on 5-30-14. Pours a light to medium brown with an orange hue and beige head. Produces good lacing. Fall spices dominate the aroma. Brazil nut and pumpkin scents. Fresh smell. The aroma is not at all what I expected. Flavors of chocolate, hazelnut, and pumpkin spice. Also mocha (but more chocolate than coffee) and pumpernickel bread. Plummy finish. More aromatic, flavorful, and complex than I expected or is typical for the style. Light to medium body. Aqueous and lively in the palate. Overall, not bad at all, and something different for what is typically a boring style.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a mahogany brown with a thin tan head. Nose is malt and honey. Nice and creamy on the palate. The taste is primarily of sweet malt, with some caramel and a hint of cinnamon. Sweet, no bitterness, akin to a dopplebock. A well done and enjoyable beer. Pairs well with smoked turkey sandwiches and chips.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Amberish ruby-red, filtered body. Thin, oily beige head. Sweet, mild aroma. On the fuller side of medium bodied, this is a pretty well done Brown Ale. There is certainly a nice nutty depth, but it is incorporated right into the sweet malt tones. A really worthwhile beer to seek out for Nut Brown enthusiasts.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a whole lot going on in the aroma. Smell is very malty with a hint of nuttiness. Taste is on the sweeter side but has a nuttiness to it as well. I typically prefer a more roasty brown ale than this one. Overall, just okay, can’t see myself drinking this one again.
