Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Malty sweet and fruity, light toasted malts, light earthy and toffee notes, and a quick balanced finish. Good stuff.

Bottle at the 11K/7K/5K. Aroma is praline, molasses, bourbon, and oak. Pours barleywine sepia with no real head. Taste is bourbon, cardamom, brown sugar, and oak. A little overwhelming for the senses and not in a friendly way. Just a bit too much spice fighting with booze. This was worth drinking 3oz. and then moving on.

Copper-brown body, thin light tan head, minimal lacing. Cardamon, ginger, oak, vanilla, caramel, and toffee. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, spices starts to get a bit abrasive with time.

Bottle at clocks. Pours a deep murky amber with thin white lacing. Aroma is sweet maple, toffee and caramel candy. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of sweet caramel, light booze, toffee and light maple.

Thanks to khoffman for this one in trade. Pours a mostly clear amber-copper with a white head. Nose is big toffee/ caramel, ginger, booze, oak, bourbon, I get the cardamom, pepper, and more booze. Flavor is a nice gingery, cardamom, bourbon, oak, toffee, and spicy mess of a great beer. Medium in body and lingering alcohol, oak, spice, cardamom, and ginger. Adding it to the wants list right now.

Bottle, pours amber with cream colored head. Good bourbon taste with a bit of spice and a sweet after taste. One of the few barley wines that I like.

about as fresh as a gameboy .. . bottle as shown .. brown with a mild foam ratio .. . burnt prunes .. . a bit mucky, not my cup of tea .. . . goodbye madam, thank you so much. ..fussy old bag.

Damico (2356) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2014
Pours unclear honey amber almost murky with a tan head. Aroma is not awesome or prominent, some sweet malts and honey. Flavor is filled with honey as well, but the barrel tames any overbearing sweetness or high boozy flavor.

Mildly hazy red color with a fizzy head and high carbonation. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, booze and oak. Flavor of oak, vanilla, bourbon and booze; Quite malty but not alot of variety in the flavor. Body is light with some heavier carbonation. Pretty disappointing for a barleywine.
