12 oz bottle, Pours a dark orange color with an off-white head. Citris aroma, slight bitterness. No enough hops for me, this beer was just okay.

Hop bitterness as expected for the IBU. Aftertaste good. Sessionable ABV. Nice ale. Have bought it twice & will again.

6 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom as part of a six-beer flight. Consumed on 5-30-14. This beer is listed in the database as being brewed at Cold Spring, but I do not believe that is the case, as I had it on tap at the brewery’s taproom, and I believe Minnesota state law prohibits a brewery from selling at its taproom any beer not brewed on site. Pours a clear brass with beige head. Simple, subtle aroma features cracker and pine scents. Pleasant enough but weak smell. Dry, piney, lemony flavor features flavor elements of pine needles and minerals. Cracker and whole wheat bread. Like the aroma, the flavor is reasonably pleasant but excessively simple. Medium body. Smooth and lively in the palate. Overall, decent but forgettable.

Tasted from a 12oz bottle. It poured a hazy orange with a thin bubbly head. A grassy aroma with a light, bitter hoped taste.

Clear dark broze pour some white head. Grassy malty aroma citrus. Tastes grapey, strong hops, grain, light caramel. It’s a bit too heavy for a pale ale.

12 oz bottle purchased at Princeton Liquors in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The pour is a lightly hazed orange golden with a ˝ inch mostly white head that falls quick. The aroma is citrus, orange peel, and husky grain. The taste is the grainy, not so fresh malt up front followed by the lightly bitter citrus, and finishing with a dry floral mineral character. The palate is medium bodied, lower carbonation level, and the dry finish. Just OK.

Pours a pale orange color with a finger of white head. Smell is a bit of spicy hops, backed by a nutty, caramel aroma. Taste is spicy, slightly citrusy hops, followed by a grainy, bready flavor, finished out with a dry, grapefruit peel finish.

This is ok, nothing that makes it stand out. Will choose something different in the future. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Light grassy and citrus hoppy aromas. Light floral hops, earthy yet pretty malty flavor. Doesn’t quite do it for me.

12oz bottle. Grapefruit peel makes sense. Orange-tan body, creamy off-white head. Medium to full bodied, the grapefruit rind is sort of an odd call, considering you can get more enjoyable, very similar tones with hops. Ends of having a fruit beer taste almost, and while it is clean, just isn’t really what I’d look for in a session Pale Ale. OK.

Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours a clear apricot with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of grassy and light citrus hops with some light sweet grains underlying. Flavor has light citrus up front with a touch of light fruit, grass and sweet grains underlying.
