Winterfest 2009 (St. Paul, MN) - Interesting take here. Amber colored body. Raisins and nutmeg are present, with a decent hop presence. Some cinnamon and caramel flavors make their way through. Good brew from these guys. Hopefully I can revisit in the future.

Winterfest 2009. Nutmeg in the aroma. Some apple pie, sweet canned pie filling. Sweet flavor overall, and the alcohol is noticeable. Spiced and warming. A good beer.

On draught during Winterfest 2009 in St Paul, MN. Pours a hazy caramel amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma is complex with scent of raisins, Christmas potpourri, nutmeg, cloves, some rum, orange zest, and caramel. Taste is medium to full bodied with flavors of tropical fruit, cloves, Christmas spiced potpourri, honey, orange zest and Jamaican rum. Finish is slightly metallic from the higher alcohol presence with a lingering orange and spice aftertaste. Try this one after one or two years of aging and it should smooth out a bit.
