COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This pale golder, Belgian-influenced ale is for everyone: Farm Girl, wannabe Farm Girl. In the Belgian Farmhouse tradition, this brew has a dry malt finish and a spicyness that only Belgian yeasts can create. Smooth and well rounded... this one can please anyone in any situation, whether you are on the water, in the sun, or hiding from winterís chill.

Shaker pour @ moto-i. This has been one of the most disappointing beers I have had in a while. It is a piss macro-yellow with a thick head. It is way too clear and way too light of a color. Aroma is banana esters and overly sweet Belgian aspects. Especially for a beer like this, its too light to be this sweet. Taste is too sweet, the esters are too strong for the rest of the beer as well. It has a strong mineral feel and an overly tingly carbonation. I feel something good can be made with this beer but this isnít it right now.

Bottle: Pours a beautiful golden/straw color with a thin white head. Scents of florals, yeast, and cloves. Tastes light and crisp with florals, more yeast, and a little barnyard earthiness. Just a hint of dough... almost has some pilsener in it? Crisp finish. I love that it comes in 12oz bottles... perhaps something new for the summer rotation? Fun!

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thin, poorly retained white head, over a hazy gold (SRM 4) body.....nose is cereal, hints of lemon, light pear.....taste is cereal, light lemon, hints of clove, finishing with a light bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, minimal astringency, carbonation adds a light spritz and acidity to the finish. This falls well within this broad style. BJCP 7/2/13/4/7

Tap at a twins game. Hazy yellow pour. Nose is candy and yeast. Tastes of lots of belgian yeast, candy, grass, vanilla, and some barnyard funk. Touch too sweet but still on perfect Sunday in Target field no complaints.

Bottle at WTWBA. Cloudy, pineapple yellow pour. Horsey and peanuty flavor, with husky wheat notes. Ratty, horsey, grainy flavor, mostly sweet with a little bit of wort. Blech.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2009 12oz Bottle. Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/26049401@N08/3801 Flaccid wet corn comes first. A spritz of lemon juice and a crack of green pepper liven it up a little, but this is hauntingly familiar of that Horny Goat shit. Pours a hazed peachy golden, with an opalescent and shiny white rim. Flavor is less dreadful than the aroma, but not too much so. This tastes like a wet, soppy lager with a little soap and potpourri thrown in. A bit of yeast gumminess in the backend gives it some authenticity. Iím afraid Iíve been duped by Stevenís Point again. I was hoping for a unique Minnesota perspective on Saison. Instead, I get "Brewed & Bottled by Lift Bridge Beer Co., Stevenís Point, WI." This finishes on a nice light stonefruit character, but itís still nothing I can get too excited about. Ends with a fusel heavy, near-nail-polish volatile note.

Bottle - Pours clear yellow with a thin white head. Nose is light clove, banana--had you told me this was a hefe, I might have believed you. Coriander, a touch of citrus, and a light, dry malt base. Tastes a lot the same--tons of hefe notes, with mineral dryness, white pepper, and a touch of tropical fruit on the finish. Man, not sure I buy this being a saison, but who cares--itís tasty!

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2011 Quite good actually. Very much like a belgian saison. I enjoyed this a lot.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with white head. Straw, yeasty, malty aromas. Spicy, straw, yeasty, citrus flavors. Very solid saison.

Barely qualifies for the saison moniker. Short lived head, no lace. Body is a tad thin. Aroma isnít bad- yeast, wet grain, but little pungency. Slightly on the sweet side. Meh.
