3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle(s) from tytoanderso, thanks Ty! Poured a lightly hazy golden-yellow color with a thin, fizzy white head that shrunk to a ring. Aroma of citrus (orange peel, tangerine), light banana, doughy yeast, a moderate spiciness (pepper and coriander), and some light herbal hops. Smooth, lightly tart entry with soft notes of orange and tangerine leads into a moderately sweet, doughy middle with some hints of spice (coriander) that linger into the lightly dry finish where they are paired with some light peach flavors. Moderate carbonation and somewhat spritzy mouth feel. Overall, itís a solid attempt at a saison, but it lacks that earthy dryness that is present in traditional examples of the style. Still, itís bad ass you can get it in six packs. Thanks again Ty.

Tap at Mad Capper in Stillwater. Tall and skinny mug appears straw color and slightly hazed with a small head that laces. The aroma was somewhat wheat like and spiced. The flavor was mostly wheaty and white pepper with a medium body. Overall, this is pretty good.

16 oz. can pours a hazy apple juice color with a small dissipating white head. Aroma has Belgian yeast, spices, and orange. Tastes sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Medium body with lively carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. Veryt refreshing on a hot day.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a cloudy orange/yellow with only about 1/8th inch of fizzy white foam. Nice and dry, crisp a bit of fruity sweetness. Finishes with some barn yard funk, hay/grass. Decent beer nicely balanced not over spiced. Biggest knock against it is that itís undercarbed for the style.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2011 Poured from bottle into Tulip.
Hazy, very pale yellow (Wit-like). Very active with bubbly head and some nice lacing. Champagne-like bubbles.
Aroma of citrus, clove, pepper, banana, overall sourness.
Orange peel, coriander, cloves, wheat malt, slightly tart. Once again, seems very much like a Witbier.
Relatively high carbonation, light body. Pretty dry but not as dry as other Saisons.
Nice, refreshing, easy-to-drink Wit, I mean Saison. Doesnít matter, it is a solid, thirst quenching brew.
Looking forward to trying their other beers, such as the 55 IBU Pale Ale with grapefruit zest (Crosscut) and the Lingonberry infused Tripel (Minnesota Tan). Nice to have another Minnesota brewery. Welcome!

Nice vivid saison, with some spiced funk. Good gold with aggressive white head that becomes rocky. Drinks easy with slight complexity.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not much in the pour - flat, clear and thinly carbonated. Aroma of goat cheese. Flavor is more full than appearance and nose would lead to believe. There is almost a baked quality to it. Not tart and easy on the palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
An interesting beer that reminds me more of a wheat or witbier than a real Belgian saison. Pours a very light golden color with little to no head. Lots of carbonation bubbles. Complex aroma with spice and fruit notes. The flavor has some orange peel, some coriander, some underlying maltiness. A bit thin in palate and finish. Nice to see Minnesota brewers trying something new, but this one falls a bit short of memorable.
