COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This pale golder, Belgian-influenced ale is for everyone: Farm Girl, wannabe Farm Girl. In the Belgian Farmhouse tradition, this brew has a dry malt finish and a spicyness that only Belgian yeasts can create. Smooth and well rounded... this one can please anyone in any situation, whether you are on the water, in the sun, or hiding from winterís chill.

Originally reviewed: 10/5/09. Pours a very cloudy light gold. Reminded me of a lemonade. Thereís a very fizzy white head right away, but this pops away to nothing very quickly. No lace. Smells of pineapple, honey, and sour apples. The mouth is fairly spritzy, but not harsh. Nice tart flavor right away like apples and lemons. Finishes smooth and bready. I like the aftertaste. I expected more of a fruity finish, but I like this. Not a bad beer by any means. I could have a few of these. Quite refreshing.

Slightly cloudy yellow. Yeast lactic smells lemon citric. Tastes of funk dust yeast bananas barley. Some pleasant lactic mouthfeel. Slightly watery but a great light saison.

Bottle(s) from tytoanderso, thanks Ty! Poured a lightly hazy golden-yellow color with a thin, fizzy white head that shrunk to a ring. Aroma of citrus (orange peel, tangerine), light banana, doughy yeast, a moderate spiciness (pepper and coriander), and some light herbal hops. Smooth, lightly tart entry with soft notes of orange and tangerine leads into a moderately sweet, doughy middle with some hints of spice (coriander) that linger into the lightly dry finish where they are paired with some light peach flavors. Moderate carbonation and somewhat spritzy mouth feel. Overall, itís a solid attempt at a saison, but it lacks that earthy dryness that is present in traditional examples of the style. Still, itís bad ass you can get it in six packs. Thanks again Ty.

Bottle poured into my HOTD tulip glass.

A - Pours straw yellow with a decent one finger tall white head leaving small wisps of lacing down the glass.

S - Smells like a wheat beer to me. It has a few hints of apples, pears, and lemon but it is mostly just wheat.

T - Starts off with a big dose of chewy wheat slowly giving way to a mix of dulled fruits - similar to the nose - and a touch of light funk. Finish is pretty chewy, lingering for some time. Is this really a saison? Could have fooled me.

M - Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Chewy feel with a tiny bit of funk, lingering through the finish.

O - Meh, this was ok at best. It really didnít taste like a saison at all until it came completely to room temp. I wouldnít seek this one out.

bottle. Poured hazy straw coloured with a thin white head. Faint citrusy wheat aroma. Light body, prickly carbonation, dry finish. Flavour of light malt, yeasty with lemon citrus and a hint of spice.

Tap at Mad Capper in Stillwater. Tall and skinny mug appears straw color and slightly hazed with a small head that laces. The aroma was somewhat wheat like and spiced. The flavor was mostly wheaty and white pepper with a medium body. Overall, this is pretty good.

Pours a cloudy orange/yellow with only about 1/8th inch of fizzy white foam. Nice and dry, crisp a bit of fruity sweetness. Finishes with some barn yard funk, hay/grass. Decent beer nicely balanced not over spiced. Biggest knock against it is that itís undercarbed for the style.

12oz bottle. Pours clear golden yellow, barely any head. Slightly sour yeast bread aroma, taste is clear and sour. Itís a bit thin to be a saison, but ok.

12fl oz bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head and fine sediment. Aroma has nice notes of candy sugar, bubblegum, citrus, and a very mild spice. Taste is slightly sweet with some farmhouse flavour and citrus. Low-medium body with a medium carbonation. Pretty clean and dry in the mouth. Overall refreshing and drinkable. Decent enough flavours but not top in class.
