COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA pushes the boundaries (BJCP American IPA top-7.5% ABV/70 IBU) and delivers what you would expect. This aggressively hoped IPA awakens the senses with aromas of citrus, fruit, and pine but will bombard your taste buds (with hops, a subtle malt sweetness and notes of caramel) that will put a smile on your face. Available for a limited time on draft.

Formerly known as Hop Prop IPA.

GTMW 2011. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate earthy hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Tap @ Northbound. Pours a bit hazy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Kind of resiny, lightly piney, somewhat bitter hoppy aroma. A bit chewy, grapefruity, bitter piney hoppy, mild citrusy flavor. Pretty decent.

12oz bottle, purchased from Brennanís in Madison during my stay for GTMW. Pours a mostly hazy darker orange color. Thin off-white head, leaving decent bits of lace. Good bigger piney hop, some orange citrus, resin. Light caramel malt. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Lighter sweet. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Solid IPA. Day was dragging on a bit, this certainly woke my senses up a little, as advertised.

Tap. Man, Iím reading the ratings of my Minnesota brethren below and Iím wondering if Iím crazy, but Iím a pretty big fan of this beer. Awesome citrus and pine resin nose with caramel malt. Medium palate. Taste is sweet citrus hops, a touch of pine, and bready caramel malts. Delicious.

Sampled during the Minnesota Autumn Brew Review 2011. Pours a clear copper amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of orange zest and floral hops, a hint of caramel malt and light pineapple. Taste is medium bodied, mild bitterness with flavors of various citrus and floral hops that hides most of the caramel malt. Finish is mildly bitter that slowly disappears.

Hazy gold color. Aroma has dry hops. Flavor has lots of citrus and lightly sweet malt. Fairly bitter, with a mild hop burn.
